Em They’d gone back to Aspen and Asher’s house and cooked some of the food for tomorrow. They all seemed like they were leaving her alone for the most part to stew. She was glad to finally get home and in her bedroom by herself. She felt like everyone was walking on eggshells around her. She found herself reaching for her medicine once again… but she stopped. Instead she picked up her phone and made a phone call. “Emerson?” He said by way of answering. “Hi.” She said. “I was wondering when I’d hear from you again.” Em immediately felt better. Somiething about talking to Evan always put her mind at ease. Maybe he was hypnotizing her. She honestly wouldn’t even care if he was or not. Evan Dank was her therapist who had gotten her through the darkest time in her life. She knew if it hadn’t been for him she would’ve sank down into a dark hole and would’ve never come out. EmShe stared at Quinn’s frowning face for a moment as a multitude of memories flew into her mind. He obviously frowned at her often for that to be what triggered so many memories. EmIt had taken her forever to fall asleep that night. Quinn had gotten her all worked up. After he left her room she paced back and forth and back and forth. She tried to lay down but immediately jumped back up. Her skin was on fire, her nerves were prickling. She didn’t know if it was just the visit from Quinn.. or if it was her medicine.. or both. A lot of times the medicines she had been prescribed kept her awake at night. She would have a huge influx of energy and not be able to settle down. Maybe this was both. She did her stretches, then she tried to read… but she literally could not sit that still. She took a hot bath which helped some, but once she got out she was back to pacing. Ughhh damn him. She got out her journal then.. and she wrote and wrote and wrote and wrote. She poured all her feelings out onto the pages. Once she had done that she finally felt calmer, and was able to lay down and watch a movie. She fell asleep around 4 in the morning. Her alarm clock

Em Once they’d eaten and done about a million dishes… Aspens uncle said: “Ten minutes to kickoff!”Emerson looked around confused. Aspen and Asher’s aunt and uncle were quickly becoming Em’s new favorite people. Their aunt was their mother’s sister. And just like she loved the twin’s parents, she was starting to love all of their family. Their uncle was what people would describe as the ‘ fun uncle’ at family evens. Em didn’t have one of those … and she wished she did. Eddie reminded her a lot of Asher.. always cracking jokes and being silly. He had an ease about him that made everyone feel comfortable. Aspens aunt, whose name was Kelly… explained to her that every year after thanksgiving dinner they went outside and played football. “In the snow?” Em asked. Although it hadn’t snowed much still. But Em just stood there staring off into space. She couldn’t even find the words, any words. She was sinking. Lower and lower the darkness pulling her under again. She couldn’t breathe. She was suffocating. She needed to climb out but she couldn’t! Where was her dad?? He was here last time. She looked around frantically for him. He should be here. He could help her. She needed help. Quinn He was worried about Em. That had to be hard for her to see. When Angel had called wanting to see him.. he thought it would be a great idea for her to come to Emerson’s with him. Why the fuck did he think that? No idea… his head wasn’t working right these days clearly. He had gone to Finley’s for dinner.. the other guys came too.. well except for Asher and Grey who were siding with the enemies right now. Not that Em was the enemy .. but they were siding with her. Honestly .. he was glad she had good people surrounding her, it would make this transition a little easier. At least, that’s what he had been hoping for. Em By the time Quinn walked out of the house she was feeling horrible again. She was trying her absolute best to shove him to the back of her mind and be present, but that shit was fucking hard. Em Oh. My. God. What in the hell….He was bloody and bruised and cut up and scraped. His lip was swollen and his eye looked like it was two seconds away from turning black. He looked awful. The worst she’d ever seen him. She thought he’d been in a wreck.. possibly on his motorcycle from the looks of him. “Quinn! What in the meat grinder happened to you??” She shouted. He smirked. Dammit. She went over to him and took stock of his injuries. In addition to what she’d seen from across the room, his whole face was bloodied and his shoulder had a huge bruise on it already. He had cuts everywhere and his hand was also swollen.
