Chapter 92The sound of night insects filled the damp, musty silence. The cracked old walls, the dim light swaying slowly on the ceiling, and the iron bars enclosing the small room bore silent witness to the suffering of two people who had been held captive for days, Sindy and Anthony.Sindy sat leaning against the corner of the room, her hands and feet still bound by rough plastic ties. Her face looked pale, her hair disheveled. On the other side, Anthony lay weakly on the floor, his temples still bruised from the blows inflicted by Nora’s henchmen three nights ago. But he was beginning to regain full consciousness and slowly tried to sit up.“Anthony,” Sindy whispered softly, watching the man move. “Can you hear me?” Anthony nodded slowly, wincing. “My neck still hurts.” Sindy breathed a sigh of relief. “We have to get out of here tonight. If not, we might be dead here tomorrow.” Anthony tried to stand up. “But we’re tied up, Sindy. Do you have an idea?”Sindy nodded slowly.
