Meanwhile, as Travis was in the kitchen, he heard Caly yell and he decided to go and see if she was ok. “Be back in a sec, Eli,” he said. Travis walked into the hallway and he saw her stomping down the hallway, muttering to herself, unaware of him watching her. He watched her for another minute, she looked really pretty in her light blue dress, and kinda cute all angry and stuff. Her auburn hair was pulled back out of her face, with a braided crown wrapped around the top of her head, she had tiny wisps of hair falling gently out of the braid, and smaller braids hanging down into her hair that wasn’t pinned up. Wow, she looks really pretty and grown up today. “Hey Caly, you, ok?” Travis asked just outside the kitchen.“Oh, um, hi, Travis, I’m, uhh fine” --she stuttered both nervously and excitedly-- “It’s just Garrett and his stupid friend Ryker keep calling me a cub. I’m not, you know, today is my birthday, and I turn twelve.”“Yeah, I know, Cal, who do you think this big ole party is

“Today started out as the best day ever, now it has turned into the worst! Rae, I’m so embarrassed.” “There is nothing to be embarrassed about Caly. Your brother and his friend are just stupid teenagers like you said earlier.”“I know, but still, I can’t believe Ryker started to read the note out loud! It’s my personal property, and none of his business!” she responded both angered and ready to cry again.Just then a knock came from the door, “Caly, honey, can I come in?”“Yeah, sure,” responded Caly through tears. Her mother came through the door and Caly ran towards her hugging her tightly. She enfolded Caly in her arms and squeezed. “Mama! I’m so embarrassed!” --she wailed,-- “Why would Garrett and Ryker do that? It was so mean! Now, Eli knows, and he is gonna hate me, and never speak to me and Travis again. I couldn’t stand him never talking to me again, he is one of my best friends. Oh, Mama, what am I gonna do?” she rushed through becoming hysterical.“Caly, sweetheart! Calm do

In order to reach the Everwood compound, everyone has to go through the town of Carrington. Carrington is located centrally between all three territories in the area. To the North is the Everwood Pack’s territory, to the South is Blackthorn territory, and to the West was Vale Den territory. Every year one pack would host the Twelves Celebration. Both humans and werewolves alike went to Carrington due to it being the only town around for miles. The South gate was the gate between the beginning of Everwood territory and that of the human territory. There were still several miles of woods between the main gate of the Everwood Compound and the South gate, at the bottom of the mountain. In wolf form the distance can be covered within a few hours. .Very few humans know about the packs, those that do have either sworn their loyalty to a pack or have become Hunters trying to “put down those mangey beasts." There is a small sect of werewolves that are Hunters as well, this sect is very secre

He felt like he couldn’t breathe. Everything was closing in on him. He didn’t mean to do it. He didn’t want to kill. He didn’t want to be like his father. He could hear his father’s voice angrily in his head from earlier, “I’ve been grooming you for this for years! You can’t just walk away!” “Yes, I can! Give it to Viktor, he already planned on taking it all over before I was even around, in fact you had been teaching him 10 years before I was even thought of. I don’t want it! I don’t want anything to do with it, with you, this pack, or the Rogue Hunters! I don’t want to be a killer!”“It’s your destiny! You are my blood! You WILL become Alpha; you WILL become part of the Rogue Hunters and you WILL kill eventually! When you do, I will be there, and you will finally be part of the Rogues. You will know and understand the supreme satisfaction and joy of taking a life, it’s inevitable, you are my blood. “I can’t! I won’t!” he yelled out loud shaking his head back and forth. He looked a

As he entered the cave, it felt like coming home. Rochelle and him have spent a lot of time there over the past two years, his time was split between there, the Everwoods or with Iliana. The thought of her and what he did to her brought a sharp stabbing pain to his chest. Rochelle had placed an old mirror in the cave, and as he walked by, he saw the dried blood all over his hands, chest and face, Iliana’s blood. Deeper in the cave he knew there was a natural hot spring. He went there to clean up, he undressed and slipped into the water and desperately washed and scrubbed Iliana’s blood from his hands and face, until they were raw. He went underwater and stayed there for several minutes, hoping things were not real. He thought about Iliana and how they first met, they both were thirteen, she had just moved into Carrington with her sister and mother, they were staying at her grandmother’s house. His dad was on one of his rampages again, and his mom had quickly sent him, Rochelle, and V
