Once Her Bully, Now Her Beggar のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 161 - チャプター 170

I woke up to the sound of pots and pans slamming against each other, I buried my head into the pillow to block out the noise but that did nothing.“May?” I called, but she wasn't beside me anymore. That only meant she was whipping up some chaos in the kitchen.I didn't get any response, but I doubt she could even hear me over all the noise from the kitchen. I pushed the blanket that covered me to the side and dragged my legs to the kitchen.“May,” I whined as I pushed the kitchen door open. I was expecting to see the level of disorganization I was faced with. Burnt smoke filled my nose, making me cough loudly, struggling to breathe.“Oh my God, what are you doing?” I coughed out trying to catch my breathIt was a big mess, smoke was everywhere, a pile of burnt pancakes on a plate with plates, bowls, and pans filled up in the sink, and pancake mix splashed everywhere. My eyes landed on the ceiling to see some stuck there leaving me to wonder how that even got up there.“Did an earthqua

May kept looking at me, waiting for me to say something, and so did the guy who came over. They both stared at me, waiting.“Alright fine” I whispered“Yay!” May cheeredWe went over to their table, which was a family seat that could accommodate about eight people. Three guys, including him, and two girls were at it, and they didn’t look happy to have us over.“Hey guys” May waved at them all bubbly before taking a seat“Hello” I mumbled not meeting eyes with any of them “You guys are here for the summer,” the boy with blond hair asked “Yes we are,” May told them“Usually people leave the town for the summer not the other way around,” a lanky dude with spiky jet black hair said, he had his hand over the shoulder of a girl who kept glaring at us “Well Nova grew up here so we decided to come” May explained while I stayed quiet“Is that so?” Their attention turned to me making me groan internally “I don’t think I know you,” the blond guy said“I don’t either” I looked them straight i

I was about to take a sharp turn when I tripped over my leg and fell face-first on the pavement.“Fuck” I winced touching my forehead to find out I had a cut on it and it was bleeding out“Get away from me!” I shouted still on the floor, unable to bring myself to get up and keep running. He had slowed down and just jogged towards me.“Help!” I shouted but there was no one around just me and a boy who might kill me and ditch my body in the woods“Do you need help?” He asked when he stopped in front of me, I wasn’t expecting those words to come out of his mouth“Why are you following me, let me be” I tried to catch my breath“Because you dropped this and I have been trying to give it to you” he held up the phone in his hand. I quickly touched my pocket to find my phone and it wasn’t there. I quickly got up from clearing my throat in embarrassment.“Oh,” I said trying to take the phone from him but he raised it over his head“Wait, you thought I was chasing?” He asked with a small smile

The process of getting ready before we had to leave the house was nothing short of chaos. We were running everywhere, clothes scattered on the floor, May and I arguing for the fifth time about what I should and should not wear. There was nothing in my box that looked like something I wanted to be in, thanks to May for packing my suitcase. She kept throwing different things at me and I kept throwing them to the side because I did not want to wear a dress. After a while of back and forth, we finally settled for a pair of denim shorts. I was supposed to wear a tank top with it but I hated the idea of my arms showing. It was one of the things I was insecure about. So I settled for a long-sleeve bodycon top. It hugged my chest too much and I didn’t like the way it felt but it was either that or a tank top. May was in a short mini plaid skirt and a top that was somewhere between a bra and a tank. It had one strap and stopped right under her boobs. She looked good in it obviously but that

It happened so fast that we didn’t get to react to what was going on. The music paused and everywhere erupted into straight chaos. The other guy tried to jump in and the fight got even messier. It was Jeremy struggling to fight two of them at the same time and I just stood and watched it unfold. There was really nothing I could do even if I tried. A loud punch landed on Jeremy's jaw making him stagger back. He felt his jaw while staring at them with anger brimming in his eyes and then he rushed towards them punching the guy with spiky hair in the throat and he pounced onto the blond guy pushing him onto the floor and getting over him.He kept on punching his face repeatedly, even after his face was covered in bruises and blood he didn’t stop still and kept going punch after punch. It sounded so horrifying as the sound of sickening bone crunch filled the air.“That’s enough” I pushed him off and that was only when he stopped and stormed out angrily as everyone stared at him in horror
