Scarlett's POV We were on the road for quite a while, and then we caught a flight to the North, but no one still told me what was going on. Timber North acted like I was non-existent. Zion refused to respond to me, and long after we left the South, I could still hear the roaring sound of thunder. They only kept whispering to each other, scheming and plotting.I had given up on them. The only choice I had was to get a phone and communicate with Michelle. Scarlett's POV I paced round my new room in my red hair. Honestly, I do look a bit better with the red hair, but Timber North being the reason for it made me hate it so much. Franklin's POV I watched while Jessica tried to figure out the repair of the landline. After a few minutes of watching, I got bored and dashed into the library to check if books that'd help were there. The library itself was dusty, but it wasn't too repulsive. I walked round, looking for any book that'd say a thing or two about a demon king. I caught an old book I had read with Scarlett when she used to sneak in to see me. I sighed reading it. It somehow felt like I was reliving memoirs that should normally haunt me. I shook my head to come out of my own head. I kept walking round the tall shelves, jumping up and holding the shelf for support. I stopped in front of one part, and my eyes caught a title that intrigued me. “The Demon King, and the human he desires.” The title read. I just observed it from where I was, wondering about what I'd get from the book. “It works now!” Jessica's voice rang through the house. I hurriedly grabbed the book, and I left to see her.

Franklin's POV “So, what do you want to do now?” Jessica asked, resting her head on my legs. I had just finished reading the book about vampires and demons. There was nothing that could lead me to the actual answer I needed.
