Lahat ng Kabanata ng Divorce? Never Letting Go!: Kabanata 31 - Kabanata 40

Killian.Just as I stand outside, refreshing Seb's DM, he still hasn't texted me, I took the initiative.“You still there?” I click send and it took a while before his response came in.“Sadly, yes. Nothing unusual though.”But just as I'm about to type back my response, I heard Chloe's voice behind me.“I'm sorry about what my dad said,” I turn around to see Chloe looking a bit troubled.I shrug, pocketing my phone. “It’s not your fault, Chloe. You shouldn't apologize,” I say, my eyes darting on her as I think my next words through.Even though her dad's words didn't come out well, no matter how blunt it was, it was the truth.I was hurting, confused and heartbroken when Tamara betrayed me. It was in a fit of rage that I mentioned I'd do anything to hurt her back, no matter what. Then, Chloe suggested we do this. I didn't think it through before accepting that offer. The need to mess with Tamara, the desperate urge to hurt her back had gripped me, beclouding my sense of judgement.I

Tamara.“Happy birthday babe,” Hazel sang as she comes right out of her room, carrying a cake and bearing a mischievous grin.I stopped dead in my tracks, blinking at my bestfriend who was supposed to be in bed and in severe pains.I roll my eyes, beating myself up mentally for falling for her tricks again, it's been like this for the longest. Hazel pulls different stunt to get me to her house every of my birthday, and I keep falling for it, except that I didn't even remember it was my birthday.God, it used to be Killian who always wished me first, but I doubt he even remembered.I feigned a frown and pointed to her couch. “You were supposed to be having a bad cramp, laying down there curled up, not—,” I eye her carefully, before a smile finds it's way to my face. “God, I keep falling for this, every damn time.” I groaned.Hazel chuckles. “Don't blame me, there's literally no other way to get you here this early, so yeah, guilty as charged.”I shrug. “We grown now. I mean, what if I h

Tamara.“Wait, he was wearing his shirt inside out the entire time?” I ask with a raised eyebrow as Alex neared the end of his story.Alex laughed, showing off his nice dentition. “I swear, and he had no idea till his secretary pointed that out,” he blurted out.“Hangover is a real bastard,” I say, still chuckling.Alex nods, his eyes on me as if watching me was his most favorite thing to do, if his eyes could talk, it'd say ‘I can't remember the last time I saw you this happy’I'm truly thankful to Alex, for always being so kind, thoughtful and always wanting to make me happy, his friendship is rare and I don't take that for granted. He watched me till my laugh died on my lips, then he waved the waitress over before saying. “Happy birthday Tammy,” he let out, making my face break into a smile. “Keep aging like a fine wine,”Then, the waitress appeared with a gift bag, dropping it right in front of me, wearing a warm and polite smile. My brows rose just as I rolled my eyes at him. Tamara.“Could you please stop by a drugstore, I need to pick up something,” I tell Alex as he wheeled his car into the busy road.I didn't think I'd be doing this, like heck I've schooled myself to not worry about him and mind my own business. But could I really do that?Killian has given me more than enough reason why I should just let go of my feelings and move on but… I'm still stuck on him.But halfway through our meal, I find myself thinking of Killian and what to get him to ease his pain. After much conflicted thoughts, I decided to get him some painkillers, some vitamins, anything that might help cheer him up.Alex gives me a rather concerned look, before keeping his eyes back on the road. “Why? Are you sick?” he asks in a curious tone.I shook my head, scrambling for an excuse, I can't possibly tell him it's for Killian, not when he just found out how much he's been hurting me. I don't want to come off as a weak woman. “No, I'm not. I just want to pick up some vitamins and pa

Killian.Tamara is acting up again. Seriously, what the hell did I do this time?I said nothing.I mean, I'm just surprised she remembers my favorite snack. But then she snaps at my silence, pointing fingers. The thought of trashing it didn't even cross my mind, till she said it to my face, pushing every button in me.She's unhinged– she blames me for literally everything, but she's the one who stormed back in here with gifts, from her boss. How ironic.I know what this is about— she's acting this way because of him, because she's in dire need to get off this marriage and go be with him.Otherwise why be bullheaded about taking that job?It changed her.In ways I didn't expect. Something had stirred inside me when she blurted out about paying debts off.Debt?Really?I never saw it that way.Although. I'll have to admit, I used that as a leverage, to get her to stay, but that's all there is.I've never done anything for Tamara hoping for payback. I'd do literally anything for her.Bu
