Raven's POV A mist hung in the air as we approached the deeper side of the woods. It's noon already. Too late for mist to be hanging around. Yet, it was there before us like a spider web. Raven's POV My heart pounded fast as I walked through the hallway leading to the large meeting room. Everything was still the same way I left them three years ago.An unfamiliar voice kept calling my name from a distance but I didn't bother to look back. Things are really happening fast. Jax’s Pov. Raven hurt me so badly when she disappeared in the air again, the sting of its cut deeper than any blade. I couldn't believe how much love and happiness she still stirred in my head anytime I set my eyes on her. It always made me wonder, “is this truly the same woman I rejected years ago?” This question always ran through my mind. The same woman I forced myself to forget yet remained the only one my spirit kept searching for. Now that she once again disappeared, there was nothing more to do. Jax's Pov. I had a meeting with the elders that morning and the atmosphere in the council chamber was heavier than usual as we sat around the carved wooden table. I could sense the tension rising like smoke in the air. Whenever Raven’s name was mentioned, the elders shifted uncomfortably exchanging worries and glances among themselves. Their fear wasn't hidden, her powers unsettled them. Many of them believe she was nothing but a threat to our long kept traditions, a danger to the balance of our pack. But deep inside me I knew they were wrong. I didn't fully understand the extent of her abilities. But something in me refused to believe she meant harm. I rose from my seat and stood before them, all their eyes fixing on me at once, sharp, judging, expecting me to confirm their doubts. “Raven, is not a threat to our tradition” I said with a calm but sharp voice “She's harmless to us” I added again calmly trying to defend. A ripple went through the room, elders Brain and elder L
