After the video call with Asher in the early hours of the morning she’d managed to get a few more hours sleep and was feeling much more herself when she finally descends in the lift to the office space on the ground floor of the building. The building is a large abandoned mill building with four floors, the bottom and top floors having the most ceiling height.The ground floor is a large space, in total it’s sixty-four feet wide and one-hundred-and-thirty feet long. But it’s broken up into a few smaller rooms. She’d had breakfast and gotten dressed in her room, throwing on some dark-grey leggings and a green long-sleeved top before heading downstairs.The lift opens up, halfway down one of the longer walls, and to her left are three small meeting rooms, or ‘war rooms’ as they’re sometimes called. Kai’s driving a little too fast, and Ash calls him out on it.“If you drive us into a tree, we’ll be fine, but she’ll be stood up. And I’m not having that.” Kai nods,“Me either, sorry. I’m just excited to see her again.” He’s feeling giddy, and Ash is grinning too. “You had a video call this morning, without me. I feel left out is all.” Ash smirks,“You were asleep, and she told me not to wake you. I did offer. I’ve told you this several times now.” Kai nods, and slows the car down to the actual speed limit around here, and before long they’re outside the pub. Kai parks the car and gets out, and as he turns, he sees a purple and green disc floating just off the ground beside the pub wall. Ash stares at it for a moment. Then a foot emerges from it, followed by the rest of his beautiful Eliza.“Wow!” Ash says quietly, she turns and grins at them.“Hey, good timing.” She walks over to them. Kai notices that she’s got a duffle bag with her. “Shall we go inside and have a chat?” Ash nods

“Then at nineteen I’m called into the Head’s office, to receive a mission, not unusual, but there was a strange Vampire there.” Eliza sighs and continues,“He had asked the Guild for my help with a mission and the Head had agreed. I felt weird about it, but agreed. It was a simple sneak in grab the hard drive and bounce kind of deal. There were two hard drives at opposite ends of the building, and he wanted to do it in one night. I took my cosh, and he had these syringes of paralytics for anyone he came across. I wasn’t one for drugs, I think they’re too unreliable, but each to their own and he was running the mission.“There were no names, no titles or stations. Eliza sighs and climbs back into Ash’s lap. He smiles and clutches at her, she sighs and leans her head into his shoulder.“The day after he proposed we were running a mission, Charlie and Serena were sneaking into a building to gather some intel, paperwork from offices that sort of thing. Simon was watching the exit for them and I was on a rooftop nearby with my sniper rifle watching for danger. A quarter of an hour or so later, Kai pulls into their driveway. At the end of it is an old Victorian era brick-built mansion. It’s wide at the front and symmetrical head on. There’s a large gravel driveway that goes straight to the front of the house, and a modern garage off to the right of the driveway which Kai seems to be making his way to. She studies the front of the house as closely as she can.There is a large front door with a columned arch over it. Each side of this there are two towers that jut out a couple of feet to make bay windows, beyond them are two wings that come out a little further, ending in curved towers that cover most of the front of these wings. The place is huge, and she can tell it goes a long way back too, and probably has an extensive basement.
