Lena's POV Julian clapped his hands once, loud and dramatic, like he was sealing a deal. “Do it,” he said, eyes narrowing playfully. “If you don’t, I’ll know something’s wrong.” My heart jumped straight into my throat. I felt Xander stiffen beside me. When I looked up at him, the hesitation in his eyes was impossible to miss. He was thinking too much. We both were. So I stopped thinking. Before he could pull away or overanalyze it, I reached for him, fingers curling into the fabric of his shirt, and dragged him gently toward me. I rose on my toes and pressed a soft kiss to his lips.
