KYRA The faster this went well for me, the better. I have the phone with me, on me, in my underwear, and it was only by a stroke of luck that Astrid's probing fingers missed it."I'll come back to get you for the opening event." Astrid announced in a very loud voice. "Thank you, Astrid. I believe I know my own way," Zyran called back.I did an awkward bow to Astrid, collected my bag from the guard, and rushed in after Zyran. There was the kitchen, a small, cozy living room, and a very big bedroom.I followed Zyran into the room but dropped my bag by the kitchen first."So," I started, fiddling with my fingers, "Who's going to sleep on the couch?""Sleep wherever you want, omega," Zyran replied, his voice cold with a hint of hostility, but that didn't stop the ripple that went through my entire body at the sound of his voice. Also, he sounded angry, just few moments ago, this man literally told me he found me interesting and yet, now, he sounded like the sound of my voice sent him to

KYRA He knows. He fucking knows.Goddess!!What do I say? What do I do?"Were these the reasons you prepared a meal you know I'm allergic to?""I promise, I didn't know about your allergy. I'm telling the truth.""What's the truth behind these?""There are drugs," I said quickly, "For me. I usually have one on me."He scoffed and raised an eyebrow, lifting the drug that's supposed to make him blabber between his thumb and index fingers, "I remember this smell. It was in the food.""I was just helping you relax,""I warned you not to lie to me,"' he continued in that same deadly voice that sent a shudder down my spine in fear."I—" I stopped, knowing my next words were going to be a lie."Were you put up to it? Some planted you here in order to kill me?" He chuckled, "kill me? I assume you and your sponsor have a death wish then. Are you even my mate or was it some manipulative trick?"A bulb clicked in my head.Mate!"It's just me!" I corrected hurriedly, "It's all on me, no one spo

KYRA How long has it been now, I don't know.I've drifted in and out of consciousness so many times that I've lost count. My chest became tight again, I was running a very serious fever, and my body was shaking uncontrollable. How's Susan not here now?Why hasn't she found me yet?"Shift!" Lea said weakly, " that way more damage would be done to me than to your body."I didn't have the strength to scoff at her but there's no way in hell that I'd let my wolf suffer because of me. What if she disappeared completely? Then I'd blame myself throughout my living days. "Please come," I whimpered. "Please save me. I don't want to die."If I died, Jacelet would take it has a breach of agreement and hurt my family. I'm meant to protect them, not hurt them.I laid on my back and stared at the ceiling, wincing in pain.ZYRAN My beast did that annoying thing it's been doing for the past two days, growling like it was in pain and then got irritated by me."Zyran!" Astrid barged in, staring at

KYRA "This test will be into parts. Oral or practical and written. You'll all be scattered to give enough space between you all and title your paper with your favourite fruit. I know we've not done much in terms of training but as the rule states, we are to eliminate a lady at this period of the training. The person with the lowest mark overall would be eliminated. Now, pick a place to seat."Susan squeezed and hand and stood, "Good luck," she mouthed."Give it your best."She nodded, "I will.""Now that that is out of the way, the guards will go round giving you a sheet of paper, ink and a quill pen. I will read out the questions, all you have to do is write your answers. You all have two minutes to write out your answers before I call out the next question, and I will not be repeating the question. Are we ready now?""Thank you," I muttered to a guard who brought my writing materials. He scoffed and walked away, throwing dirty looks at me from over his shoulder."Question one, you

KYRA I have one week to my mother's funeral, one week to get the oil and I still don't have money yet.I've not heard back from Jacelet since I sent him the file, neither have I received any bad news concerning my family member, so I guess it's all good. Maybe he's busy with the information in that file, I mean, no news at all means good news. Our room is all set up and boundaries have been set. Even though we manage very s,all talks every now and then, Nicole us pretty set in her boundaries.I can't go to her side of the room without asking for asking for permission.I glanced towards her, where she's perched on her bed reading how about the birth, growth and behavioral patterns of hyenas.Very weird if I'm asked. You would choose that kind of book over reading a fictional book. I'd rather read a crime fiction than that."What?" She snapped, "why are you looking at me like that?"I sat at the edge of my bed and stared at her earnestly, "Do you have maybe a ten thousand sitting some
