Another day wasted in the library. If I was human, my back would have ached from being bent over a pile of books for hours. As it was, I only felt hungry, having once again skipped lunch. At least today, it wasn't yet completely dark. If I was lucky, I would beat Cassian home. Maybe I could even have another go at trying to make us dinner. Remembering how my last attempt had gone, I shuddered a bit. I didn't really want Cassian to be subjected to another round of my bad cooking, or have to eat sandwiches to bed, but what else could I make. I could do eggs, but who wanted to eat eggs for dinner? Unlike yesterday, I was taking the long way home, so I was walking on what I'd come to see as Main Street. The artist's shop was still open, the sign advertising art classes still hanging on the window. Like before, I stopped unconsciously, and stared.
