บททั้งหมดของ CRAVING ISABELLA: บทที่ 81 - บทที่ 90

ISABELLAAfter I moved out of Noah's apartment back then, I moved in with my parents. I worked three different jobs in addition to Leo's. Every cent I didn't spend on basic necessities went toward that rent. I couldn't live there anymore... but I couldn't let it go.The note is still safe. It's still tucked inside the pages of my favourite book. Pages 127 and 128. Why wouldn't I keep it safe? I have to. It's proof for me. Whoever wrote this note wanted me to think that Noah left me for some opportunity abroad. He doesn't have any family there. He wouldn't just go there. "Earth to Isabella," I blink, my eyes falling on Mia before travelling up to the semi-circle of faces surrounding me. Chloe, Chase, and Derek. Right. I think I zoned out. Like I went out of this world into another. I always do that, so I know they don't think I'm crazy. Only, today their eyes are watching me. Makes me understand the whole reason why they wanted to hang out in the first place. This is one of those mee

ISABELLAThe voice is so deep, but it isn't the one I have been playing on a loop in my head for years. It's not Noah. It's someone else. Someone else knows my sizes. Someone else knows my address and knows my name. The dress slips from my fingers and pools on the floor. Chloe's eyes are wide, and her hand is near the phone's end-call icon. I will myself to speak even though I'm at a loss for words. I'm just an adult who's almost graduating from college. I don't know if I'll even have a steady job by then. My family is nothing to care about. My life is absolute trash. I don't understand if you get my point. I mean... I'm this girl without that one special trait that makes people stare or obsess. I don't qualify for this. I'm not supposed to be getting stalked! I'm not supposed to be receiving gifts from unknown people and getting orders to be at a ball. I'm just me. Isabella. So why? What does this deep-voiced man want from me?"Who are you?" "Isabella," the voice continue

ISABELLA His name is Mason. Noah's father, I mean. I've asked him multiple times if he's sure Noah will attend the stupid ball tonight and he answered yes every time. Don't blame me for being overly curious. As I stand by the door, my dress feels too tight. I'm clutching the glass of whatever liquid this is tightly. This place is crowded with you know who. The rich, the elite, the ones at the top. It's a wonder how Noah's dad climbed to this height. I thought he was just a gate keeper when Noah was born. I don't ask him that though. I just keep mute and stare around. Where is Noah? I want to see him for myself. And since Mason is so sure that he'd be coming with his date, or fiancee or whatever they're calling her... I'm even more eager to see him. It takes few minutes, before the room goes quiet. From across the tables, Mason and I lock eyes. This is it? Noah's coming in? I turn and brace myself for my first view of the man since years. It's a lady that walks in first. Then h

ISABELLAAfter saying those words to Noah, I turn and walk toward the end of the driveway. It's every instinct in me that wants to look back, to see if he's actually staying put or if he's watching me go with that tilt to his head. But I don't turn. I'm too annoyed to turn. I can't look him in the face one more time without breaking down. I have to stay strong. I must. This is it. If I don't stay strong, my friends will say they told me so, and... and I'll have to endure the... No! No! I can't.But I can let down few tears right? The first tear escapes and tracks a hot path down my cheek just as a pair of headlights cuts through the darkness. The car pulls up, the engine idling.Derek.I don't even wait for him to jump out and open the door. I yank it open myself and enter the seat, pulling the door shut with a thud."Drive," I say. "Please, just drive."Derek doesn't ask questions, bless his soul. But I know he will. He shifts into gear and pulls away. I stare out the window."Bella

NOAH I don't even know how I got in here. I just know that it's morning and my memory about last night are in what I'd like to term as pieces. I groan as the light filters in through the blinds. There's warmth beside me. There shouldn't be. It's been... a long time since I ever felt this way. When I mean long, I mean long. I open my eyes, glancing beside me and my eyes widen. Of course. Meredith. She moves, draping her arm over my chest while her fingers trace unknown shapes against my skin. I stare at the ceiling, with a frown. "I know you're awake. Good morning, fiancé." she says softly. I don't reply. I don't really have words for her this morning. I'm sure she's waiting because she lifts herself on one elbow, her blonde hair spilling over her shoulder. "I was thinking," she starts. "we should finalize the guest list this week. My mother wants to fly in her wedding planner. And I saw this venue in Mi..." "Meredith," I mutter, dragging a hand down my face. "It's bar
