Sarah POV Just then, a couple and a little child walked into the store. The women who were gossiping instantly went silent, bowing like they had seen a ghost. I tilted my head and caught a glimpse of my husband, carrying the child in his arms while his childhood sweetheart stood by his side. “Sarah," his childhood sweetheart called my name, but before Dimitri could look, I darted out of the store. I couldn't let him see me, not when I looked pathetic. I couldn't drive home by myself after seeing the news. I called my personal driver to come pick me up instead. I hated that it had to be that woman. Why her of all people? She had left him two years before our marriage, and now she is back. A part of me didn't want to jump to any conclusion yet. I doubted Alpha Dimitri would do something stupid like choosing her over me. But what are the chances that he won't? When I got home, he was already at home. I put on a smile and went in after Mrs. Smith informed me of some guests. I stal

Alpha Aaron “Once you find him, kill him on the spot." I instructed my men before Henry and I strode into the club. The place was breezy with few people. It was still early, and the club had just resumed its night duty. I wouldn't have been here if not for a bastard who stole my diamonds and thought he could run away with them. Henry and I headed straight to the bar, ignoring the hot chicks clawing to get a client for the night. My eyes glanced at a woman in a pretty floral dress at the end of the counter. She drank up a shot, grimanced and requested another one. “Two night berries," Henry ordered, sliding into one of the stools. He looked more distressed than I was. After the diamond robbery, he hasn't brought himself to rest. He was my right-hand man and enforcer of our Mafia organization. Due to his terrifying status in the Mafia, he couldn't accept that a thief had gone past him without noticing. “Chill out a little, Hen. I am pretty sure we will find him here," I said, trus

A scent woke me before sunlight did.Wood smoke. Mint. My head felt like a drum being played by toddlers. My eyes hurt, I couldn't open it so I settled for squinting. The ceiling above me wasn’t mine. Wooden beams. Firelight. Blankets tucked around me that definitely weren’t mine.“Where the hell am I?”A steaming mug sat on the nightstand. Tea. I brought it closer sniffing it, it was peppermint.I made to get out of the bed when a wave of nausea hit me, sending me back to the pillows' embrace, my eyes fluttered shut.I must have drunk all night, what happened to me? Did I go to bed with another man? Oh, hell no. I couldn't imagine doing that, giving it up to some stranger? Someone I don't love? I don't think I could forgive myself. It should have been Dimitri, if only he had looked at me during our marriage, five years and he never once kissed me.Good riddance, a stranger might just be the best thing to happen to me.I jumped down from the bed, wincing from pain. I planned to leav

I woke up to a steaming bath, my nails being polished and my hair scrubbed, what the? “You were out cold from a fever” a sweet voice said. It felt like death, sis. I turned to see who owned it. Aaron. But it wasn't Aaron, he wasn't a mesmerising woman with long flowy hair, wondrous skin and an amazing dress. This must be his sister. “How did you? Wait, why are they? Could they leave?” “Of course they can” she responded and with a clap of her hands they were dismissed. “You're probably wondering what happened and why you're in a bath tub with nothing but underwear on.” she said gesturing to my clothes spilling from a laundry basket. I didn't know I still I had those on. “My nana says a good steaming bath is the cure for almost anything and I could swear by that myself“ she watched me. “I'm Avery by the way.” “Sarah” I replied, my tone biting, I reached for a towel hanging from a towel bar wrapped my hair and dragged my knees to my chin. She was observing me, I co

Sarah's POV “Let me go. Let go of me.”I couldn't see who they were all I knew was that they kept on pulling me.Tearing at my skin and yelling,I had so much bruises and could barely move, “my child, save my child!!”“Rise and shine blondie,” Henry announced pushing the curtains open, sending the sun rays directly to my eyes.“We've got a world to see, be down at 2” I gave him a weak smile.“What's that?” my head pointing towards the stain on his shirt.“Everyone's got a guilty pleasure, blondie.” he smiled in a way that made me queasy. I rolled to the other side of the bed.The dark stain must be blood, looking at him would only worsen how I feel right now. Still backing him I call out.“Alright, I'll be there.” I dart my eyes to the dress I had on the night at the club. “I have nothing to wear”“Your things are in the dressing room, I made sure to recover all properties you had with you that night”“Gee, thanks.” I was truly grateful, I hoped my voice conveyed it.I washed up qui
