Sarah POV

There was no point in asking him to take back his words. Alpha Dimitri wanted a divorce; I should grant it to him as a final wish.

Grabbing the pen on the desk, I signed the document and handed it to him.

“I hope you find the happiness you are looking for," I muttered before walking out of the dining room.

It didn't take long for me to pack my things. Most of the luxury I had was bought with Alpha Dimitri's money. It would hurt my pride if he sees that I took some items with me.

After packing my original things, I came with him to his house, and I climbed down to the living room, ready to leave.

“You can stay the night and leave tomorrow," Dimitri dared to say after humiliating me in front of that woman.

“I can manage on my own." I dragged my box down the stairs.

“There is no need to be stubborn. Stay the night and leave tomorrow morning," he insisted, and I couldn't help but roll my eyes.

“Now you are trying to be courteous? Please spare me your fake sympathy. You have your girlfriend back, and you two can spend the night as you wish. I hope Grandma finds out you brought back this bitch," I said before I could hold back my last word.

“Sarah!" Alpha Dimitri growled. “You will not address your Luna like that," he warned, and she smirked mischievously.

“Fine, I will leave for your next Luna. What I won't do is stay back here and let you insult me," I said firmly, rolling my box past him.

He grabbed my arm, stopping me in place. For a second, I thought he would say something else, like this was all a prank. But he proved me wrong.

“I won't be responsible for anything that happens to you. You are on your own." With that said, he let me go.

My cab arrived just in time as I stepped out of the house. I couldn't think of an address, so I told him to take me to the nearest club in town.

Leaning my head against the window, hot tears streamed down my face. I thought I was strong enough to endure the pain I felt in my chest, but Dimitri's betrayal hit me hard.

I had loved him my entire life, loved everything he liked and never chose for myself because I thought loving him was all that mattered. But I was wrong.

My cab driver was kind enough not to question my shady mood and didn't bother taking money for the ride after he dropped me off at a booming club.

The board sign glowed in a blue night city with red and yellow neon lights. I rolled my box in the club, disregarding all the weird stares on my way in.

The club was cool, not loud yet, but soothing music played in the background. I went straight to the bar and found myself a nice spot to wail my sorrow away.

“Can I get the craziest tequila you have? Something bitter and sour that can remind me of how horrible men are," I said to the bartender.

“Your boyfriend broke your heart?" He asked me to mix some stuff inside a cup.

“My husband brought a woman back home and kicked me out of the house," I revealed sadly.

“I will get you something to cool off instead of sour," he slightly smiled at me with pitiful eyes before going back to his job.

I checked my phone for messages, but remembered I had not told anyone about my divorce. My father would definitely freak out if he found out I left the pack's mansion. He was obsessed with being associated with Luna's daughter. I doubt he will let me back into the house.

“Here is your martini lemon ice," the bartender passed my drink.

“Thanks." I took a sip, hoping to get a throat burn, but got a sweet taste instead. My brow shot up in question as to the sweet cocktail.

“It's in the house," he said, leaving me to have my time alone.

The first shot went well, followed by my second and third, before I knew I had already taken ten shots. I ran my hand over my face, feeling tipsy from taking a little too much.

Bored, I turned to the guy sitting next to me. I scanned him for a while: black short hair, viper tattoo arm, black leather jacket, and a shallow cut on his left eye. He screamed dangerously, but my instincts got the best of me.

I pulled my stool beside him and poked his arm for his attention. He glanced down at me, and I smiled, feeling the weight of his cold eyes. I must have a malfunctioning magnet that attracts dangerous men to me.

“Hi," I said, my voice slurpy from being drunk. “Do you mind if I talk to you? I am a bit bored and I don't have any place to go," I muttered, clumsily.

He lifted a brow at me, and I noticed the next guy with him opened his mouth and closed it shut.

His silence made me lean closer. Cupping my fingers, I whispered into his ear, “My husband kicked me out of the house. I am currently homeless, and I can't even call my parents because they won't allow me to come home." I broke down immediately, hating the idea that my parents were not going to accept me back.

“I am sorry...for bothering you. I will just sit back at my corner and enjoy my fruity tequila." I pushed my stool away from him.

Before I could reach my corner, a strong hand pulled my chair back, and my body clashed into the stranger.

“You said you were bored. Lucky for you, I would like to share some stories," the stranger said, staring deep into my eyes with his beautiful ocean eyes.

I woke up to a steaming bath, my nails being polished and my hair scrubbed, what the? “You were out cold from a fever” a sweet voice said. It felt like death, sis. I turned to see who owned it. Aaron. But it wasn't Aaron, he wasn't a mesmerising woman with long flowy hair, wondrous skin and an amazing dress. This must be his sister. “How did you? Wait, why are they? Could they leave?” “Of course they can” she responded and with a clap of her hands they were dismissed. “You're probably wondering what happened and why you're in a bath tub with nothing but underwear on.” she said gesturing to my clothes spilling from a laundry basket. I didn't know I still I had those on. “My nana says a good steaming bath is the cure for almost anything and I could swear by that myself“ she watched me. “I'm Avery by the way.” “Sarah” I replied, my tone biting, I reached for a towel hanging from a towel bar wrapped my hair and dragged my knees to my chin. She was observing me, I co

The room was silent for a long time. His words replaying in my head again and again, like a jukebox stuck on repeat.I blinked, once, twice, trying to make sense of what he’d just said.Cry him a river? Of diamonds? What was I, a damn jewelry factory? My throat tightened with disbelief. “You can’t be serious.”He simply turned, broad shoulders disappearing through the doorway like he hadn’t just offered me a slavery contract. My lips parted in shock “Unbelievable,” I muttered. “Absolutely unbelievable.”Henry was still there, leaning lazily against the doorframe, a faint grin tugging at his lips.“Take it easy, Blondie,” he said, nodding toward the nightstand. “Drink the tea. Mint helps with headaches.”I followed his gaze to the mug, still steaming faintly. I wanted to tell him where he could shove the mint tea, but the pounding behind my eyes was winning the war.He smirked as if reading my mind. “You can glare all you want. Still gonna help.”When he finally left, closing the door

A scent woke me before sunlight did.Wood smoke. Mint. My head felt like a drum being played by toddlers. My eyes hurt, I couldn't open it so I settled for squinting. The ceiling above me wasn’t mine. Wooden beams. Firelight. Blankets tucked around me that definitely weren’t mine.“Where the hell am I?”A steaming mug sat on the nightstand. Tea. I brought it closer sniffing it, it was peppermint.I made to get out of the bed when a wave of nausea hit me, sending me back to the pillows' embrace, my eyes fluttered shut.I must have drunk all night, what happened to me? Did I go to bed with another man? Oh, hell no. I couldn't imagine doing that, giving it up to some stranger? Someone I don't love? I don't think I could forgive myself. It should have been Dimitri, if only he had looked at me during our marriage, five years and he never once kissed me.Good riddance, a stranger might just be the best thing to happen to me.I jumped down from the bed, wincing from pain. I planned to leav

Sarah's POV Mr. Viper tattoo, looked at me like he had seen a flying leprechaun causing me to chortle, “Ow!” the martini had come right through my nostrils spilling on myself and the tattoo man. “I'm sorry, I'm not always like this, I swear” I pleaded pinching my nostrils to ease the pain, thank goodness it wasn't the tequila, that would have been a full on funeral for my sinuses. He looked at me with an expression I couldn't quite make out, maybe that's how you react when your thousand dollar jacket gets misted with snot.Grabbing at the napkins across me, I stumbled to my feet, “Let me, help” help? Really Sarah, you made this mess, of course you have to 'help'I pressed the napkins against his chest, patting it continuously like a malfunctioning robot, “See? Good as new, not even a stain” I mumbled struggling to keep him in focus.Except he wasn't blurry, everything else was, his eyes looked silver? That had to be alcohol. Great. Now, I'm seeing anime eyes in real life. His mouth

Alpha Aaron “Once you find him, kill him on the spot." I instructed my men before Henry and I strode into the club. The place was breezy with few people. It was still early, and the club had just resumed its night duty. I wouldn't have been here if not for a bastard who stole my diamonds and thought he could run away with them. Henry and I headed straight to the bar, ignoring the hot chicks clawing to get a client for the night. My eyes glanced at a woman in a pretty floral dress at the end of the counter. She drank up a shot, grimanced and requested another one. “Two night berries," Henry ordered, sliding into one of the stools. He looked more distressed than I was. After the diamond robbery, he hasn't brought himself to rest. He was my right-hand man and enforcer of our Mafia organization. Due to his terrifying status in the Mafia, he couldn't accept that a thief had gone past him without noticing. “Chill out a little, Hen. I am pretty sure we will find him here," I said, trus
