Scarlett I was sitting in this office with everything one would need. Through its transparent glass, I could see almost everything that was happening. Just pressing the button next to me would send the secretary running inside. This was something I've always wanted but kept sacrificing just to be with Daniel Cross. But now that I'm here I don't even feel his presence or crave to be around him.I was on my computer scrolling down different designs for Mr. Gray's next meeting when a knock sounded on my door.I looked up and asked the person to come in without asking who it was and then placed my focus back on the designs. The person walked in and then stood a few steps away from my desk.“Good morning, Ms. Brown. I hope you're enjoying your first day," I heard Mr. Gray's voice say when I quickly looked up and was about to stand up, but he asked me to sit instead.“No Sir, I can do that later. Would you like me to do something for you?” I asked, deep down, worried about what the disresp

Daniel “How dare she?!" I hit my hand on the desk after Mom told me about how Scarlett walked away on her.She can disrespect me but not my mother. AC STUDIO wouldn't have employed her if they didn't know that she was my fiancèe. I'm going to make sure she regrets disrespecting my mother.“What are you going to do son?" Mom asked.“Teach her a lesson. This is Windhoek and we are its rulers. She's going to get what everyone who has messed with us got,” I smirked.I grabbed my blazer and then made my way out to the office while my Mom stayed to finish her coffee. I usually don't listen to the radio, but I turned it on after my PA told me AC’s CEO was busy praising Scarlett. The things I was hearing him say made me almost cancel my day at the office and head to the radio station instead. My chest tightened at the thought of what the media would be releasing next about my family.“Sir what should we do?" the head of my PR team asked over the call.“Intercept everything. Don't allow that

Scarlett Mr. Gray and I walked into the hall which had so many attendants. I could tell that there were all kinds of wealthy people. Some faces I knew from the fashion world while others I just kept greeting back.Mr. Gray and I sat in the front row while Daniel and Evelyn were three rows behind us. The camera was so focused on us that I could see how uncomfortable Daniel was.“This is wonderful Ms. Brown. I hope you do this for our annual gala," Mr. Gray said.“I'd be honored to Sir," I responded when he looked at me and smiled. The meeting began and everyone was so focused. I kept my eyes on the stage, and when it was Daniel's turn, I just didn't have the time to listen to his disgusting voice. If the camera hadn't been focused on Mr. Gray and me, I would have been scrolling on my phone. Daniel finished what he had to say and the way he was stuttering up there made me wonder how terrible his PA has gotten. His speech was just not that persuasive. We all just clapped our hands and

Scarlett “Daniel, what are you doing here?” I was already irritated to see his face.“I'm Daniel Cross, I don't need permission to be here, remember?" he asked, and I knew what that meant. His family had shares in the property Zoe was renting.“We don't care about any of that Daniel. The agreement doesn't allow you to come here whenever you want, especially if I've covered all my expenses, remember?” Zoe asked him.“Whatever you talk a lot. Can you just let me resolve things with my fiancèe?" Daniel replied.“She's not your fiancèe anymore. In case you swallowed your ring don't come here looking for it. I need you to leave," Zoe said, pointing to the door, while Daniel looked at us with a wicked smile.“Scarlett, how are you going to explain the trending posts to your Boss? I mean, I think you're already fired by now. In case you change your mind, just know that we're hiring, OK?" Daniel said before turning to walk out.Zoe rushed to lock the door behind him while I took a deep breat

Daniel “Damnit,” I cursed, getting into my car while my chest tightened.Scarlett has been refusing to talk to me despite the effort I've been putting in to see her. I thought she knew how important I am around here.I've to do something before it's too late. I can't risk losing Scarlett. I was about to start my car when Rhea called. She has been ignoring me for days now after my PA sent her the money she wanted."Hey busy baby,” she said from the other end while I wondered if she wanted something again."Hi, beautiful. What happened last time?” I asked since I wasn't the forgetful type.“That's agh, I fell sick and couldn't make it, babe. But I'm available today. So what would you like us to do today?” she asked, and I didn't even know what to say since my schedule hadn't been sent yet. I could have a meeting at any time so I couldn't promise anything."I don't know, let me update you once I figure that out,” I said when she suddenly got mad and ended the call in my ears. That was d
