RESENTMENT FOR THE KING OF ALPHAS のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 1 - チャプター 10

ARIA POV“Bond isn’t as bad as you all said. Maybe I should just marry him! I am tired of running!”“You are a very stupid girl. What the hell is wrong with you? You will pack your things and follow us to the Nightwalker Pack, or I will disown you! Don’t you ever mention the name of that emperor again,” my dad warned. Waves of sorrow engulf me like a shield as I stare blankly into the sky.Rays of the parting sunrise rest on the random path. We flee; aimlessly, we run, avoiding the pathways that lead to destruction. In dismay, we ride not on oxen of hope, not on chariots of fire, but on legs of expectation, aspiring to thrive on the wings of fate and escape for our dear lives.I whisper to myself: If we can't keep up when chased by footmen, how will we survive when overrun by horsemen? My name is Aria, and I am a member of the Deviant Splinters. At least that’s what we call ourselves. We are a group of werewolves who escaped the pack.My father is an Alpha. People called him Jerry the

EMPEROR BOND POVMy father was called the Mad Emperor for a reason. He was brutal in his own way; he was regarded as the strongest being on earth, but there was a prophecy. He plundered the village of the witches, killing the leader of the coven. The witches cursed him; they prophesied that he would bear a child twice as strong as he ever was. They predicted the night I would be born, and that my father would fall sick with the palsy and only recover on the day of my circumcision. They prophesied that the child my father bore would despise his ways, that the child would inherit a corrupt empire but would abolish the laws the mad alpha had built over the years. The child would stand for what is good and render all corrupt practices of the father null and void. The last prophecy broke my father. They said the night I turned nine, he would die in his sleep—a mysterious and inevitable death. My father moved with resentment against the witches of the clan.He went after the last heirs of t

ARIA POVI feel something speaking for me, was it fortune? I can’t fathom. I don’t know what it is; it’s like a miracle, but I feel really uneasy.I wasn’t killed. The temperature in the room rises sporadically. I’m short of words; the attack from the king of alphas really stuns me.“Help!” I whimper, in a quiet, antagonising groan. The air in the room is choking. His movements are reckless but precise; one second, he is at the door, and the next, he is inches away from me. I close my eyes to receive the impact, but it never comes.A dark shadow crashes into Bond, and it sends him flying to the edge of the room. Shock envelops me. The sound from the impact is deafening, and I stare in awe. Alpha Damon stands there, majestic. My heart pounds against my chest as I watch the drama unfold.“Enough,” Alpha Damon cautions Bond. “What are you trying to do? Attack a defenseless girl in chains? Just because she talks dirty?” The voice is loud and magnetic, tearing through the room like a blade

EMPEROR BONDS POVI saved Aria from captivity.Yes, she was a slave. A slave to her parents’ biddings, a captive to their hopes and ambitions. She was a pawn in their grand scheme, blindly following the life they chose for her.She was so inspired, trapped inside somebody’s dream, too close to the fire, yet cold and numb with pain. She didn’t have a life of her own; that was why I was confident that even if she resented me, she would eventually stay. The future I planned for her was far greener than the illusion of freedom she dearly held onto, but I guess I was so wrong. After her mother was brutally murdered, I took her in and tended to her wounds, but she hated me even more. I could see the indignation in her eyes whenever she stared at me.She was my weakness and my redemption. That remarkable night, after her condition stabilised, she used her words to stab me with a thousand daggers. I felt the greatest rage when she spoke those damnable words at me. I snapped and almost took he

ARIA POVHe inhales deeply, “Get off me.”And in the blink of an eye, he bolts out of the bathroom. I hear him mutter those words.“I can't take advantage of a sick woman,” he mumbles.I crave his touch at the moment, but immediately, he leaves the bathroom, and I feel offended. That deep hatred washes over me.Why won’t he let me have clarity? This little unorthodox stunt I pull opens up my injuries a little. I feel pain all over my joints. I stabilise my movement on the shower stand and allow the warm water to wash my pain away. That night, he lets me sleep alone as he avoids further questions. I guess he doesn’t want to see me in pain, or it’s probably the way I make him feel. Was it a defence mechanism? Well, I have a whole lifetime to find out.I hug the duvet and drift into the abyss of fantasy. My night is cosy, but the nightmares aren’t. Flashes of recent bitter events invade my night with ugly possibilities.I try to distinguish reality from the mysterious as I travel in and
