Author's POV Dominic didn't know what to do, but he wouldn't let Wesley destroy dinner. He had planned this specially to celebrate Sage, so it wouldn't be ruined. He cleared his throat, bringing the attention on the table to him. He gave a sign to the servants that had been waiting. They went around the room, opening a bottle of wine for each of them. The wine was clearly expensive, Sage recognized the tags. Each person had their own bottle and she could almost estimate the net worth. Her eyes went to Dominic, noticing the way his spine had straightened. She looked again at Wesley who seemed to be observing closely. Her mother, Elizabeth, watched everything. She could feel the tension in the air, it was palpable and she swore she had chewed some of it and swallowed it along with the meat she had just taken.
