Sage's POV There was no denying the way my heart pounded in my chest. In a few minutes I was supposed to go outside and join the convoy to go shopping with everyone else. Author's POV Sage's eyes remained in front, even as she felt his eyes on her. Despite the urge to sneak a look at him, she didn't dare it. She could feel his eyes on her. Her hands folded and unfolded themselves severally on her lap. Sage knew that Dominic was staring at her as well. He had tried severally to apologize but it didn't matter anymore. She just wanted to be far from him. Even as she said it, she looked to the left, searching for him. She found him at the back, both he and his beta in deep conversation. Since he didn't have his attention on her, she also looked around for the troupe. The first drama had played out on the stage, behind her some of the people had gathered. Author's POV Dominic's heart pounded in his chest. His hands were wet with sweat as he paced the back of the canopy. This couldn't be happening. How was it possible that she had disappeared? She had been there a few moments ago. His wolf, Liam, cried out for her. He was in just as much panic about it. Yet, they couldn't reach her. Dominic could feel her just there but not quite. It felt like she was purposely pushing him away from within reach. “Close the goddamn city gates. There should be no car or vehicle getting past it, I don't care who is in it. Search everyone thoroughly, she couldn't have gone far” he commanded when his head of security came to him. He nodded, “Sir, the lights were cut off and at the same time we lost our connection to the city gates. We've sent some soldiers to inform them but there might be a delay" he said.
