My princess was safe, even if I wasn't there to protect her.I gave him a few instructions, then told Ann to let him in. It was even good they were staying, the guest room had never been used since I'd moved in.After making sure Ann was safe, I decided to call my big princess, my not-so-little mom. I mean, she’s just a girl, according to her.Me: (After five rings) "Hi, Mom. What’s up?"Mom: "Hi, baby. I’m praying. I’ll call you back."Me: "Where are you praying?"Mom: "I’m in church. I’ll call you, please."Me: "Mom, which church? I want to pray, too."Mom: "Well, um… it’s inside the house. Oh, no, I mean behind the street."Me: "Okay, what’s the name of the street?"Mom: "St. John's. No, St. Augustine. No, I mean St…"Me: "Hey, hey, hey, Mom. What the hell did she want to say before passing out? Why hadn’t she woken up yet? How did she even slip?My mind raced 10,000 miles, searching for answers, asking impossible questions. I was scared. My heart pounded. Uncle Su looked like he was about to have a heart attack. The maids were panicking . The whole house was in chaos.Damn. One of the worst mornings of my life.I kept thinking. My heart kept beating. Then I texted My assistant, he was slow to reply. I started praying. What would I tell my dad? I had to keep her safe for him.Oh, big princess, where are you? I thought out loud. Then we heard footsteps again. Everyone in the living room went silent, you couldn’t even hear us breathing, not to talk of a pin drop. We we’re all quite , as if waiting for miracle to happen, or somehow good news to be told. Th

Me: "So all this was for an island?"Mom: "What do you mean 'all this'? Like I'm doing something sinful?"Me: "No, I meant the stress of going to buy the flower yourself."Mom: "Well, not really. Your dad works hard, so I should give him good sex once in a while, you know?" She smiled mischievously.Me: "That's thoughtful of you."Mom: "Of course. I'm always a thoughtful person."Me: "So where exactly is this island located?"Mom: "Well, it's a small island surrounded by water. I passed by there last time I went to Dubai to buy some abayas and perfumes. The island isn't far from Abu Dhabi. It's calm. The serenity is beautiful. It's peaceful. There are speedboats you can play with in the water. There are also little buildings,a museum, an aquarium, a beauty spa for me and my little Angel , and a fully equipped gym apart from the mansion. The place is like a small world."Me: "Wow, you've done your research."Mom: "Yeah, I did. They say the owner is about to die and has no offspring or

Mom: "The Shengan family does not need to stoop that low to survive. We've stood independently by the power of God and the business talent of the heirs in this family. There is great gravity in false accusation and defamation of character. I don't care how casual she thinks it is." She fumed as she emphasized every word fiercely Me: "Hey, hey, hey. Princess, calm down."Mom: She snapped at me. "How can you tell me to calm down when there's an imposter trying to cause internal conflict in a harmonious family?" She eyed me. "Calm down, fire!" She stormed out of the room.Me: "Where are you going?" I chased after her Mom: "I'm going to the living room to clear my head."Me: "Princess." I called calmly and She turned to look at me. "Please come into your room and sit down. I want to talk to you."Mom: "I don't care who she is. She has no right." She stood there and said angrily.Me: "Yeah, I know. Please sit, okay?"Mom: She stood for a moment, then came into the room and sat.Me: "I'm

How about one of the chefs moves to my house? Or Uncle Su?"Mom: "You're forgetting I can cook. We'll survive. And stop making it sound like we're climbing a mountain full of lions and tigers to set up a tent for a month."Me: "I didn't mean that. I'm sorry. I was just looking out for you."Mom: "I know." She murmured and walked away. "He nags too much, just like his father."Me: I followed her. "Wait, did you just call me and Dad"Mom: She slammed the bathroom door in my face.Me: I got a little annoyed and walked away.I rushed downstairs to talk to the butler.Me: "Uncle Su!
