I haven’t even left the house yet and I’m already in awe of what Gideon has built here. Where I’m from, parents are a fantasy and Gideon has a mother who makes breakfast for not just him but his friends as well, it's clear Flora cooks for everyone on the regular and not because I’m here. I never thought a man could consider a woman a badass without a gun on her hip but as I watch the men clear away their dishes and thank Flora for feeding them, it's clear they respect her. “Are you ready, dear? Dutton is all sorted and ready for you.” Flora says as she straightens her light cardigan and starts walking towards the door, the scraping of Gideon’s chair on the hardwood floor catches my attention and I see he’s walking towards me as well. I don’t like the idea of seeing any kind of doctor but I don’t think I really have much of a choice. I don’t remember the last time I saw a doctor; each time I’ve gotten hurt, I’ve either tended to my own wounds or had some random bartender wrap me up.

After a few minutes and several more shouts for someone to stop what they’re doing, Flora and I run from the clinic to find out what's going on. The little cotton ball falls from my grip the second I step out of the door and see two massive wolves attacking eachother, Gideon and the guy that abruptly left breakfast are both trying to find a way between the two wolves. Both seem to be trying to avoid the snapping razor-sharp teeth and the knife-like claws that seem to be clashing in the air as the two wolves connect and tangle until they look like a ball of wild fur. “Stay there, don’t move.” Flora hisses at me; she whips off her cardigan and throws it at the floor before racing over to Gideon, who is jumping around like some kind of crazy person. It's only when Dutton starts shouting about the wolves ruining the peace of sick people that I realise no one is paying me any attention. Gideon wants me to see the Pack so I know there is another way to live and that he doesn’t deserve to b

“The twins have been settled; I swear the second their father leaves for work, they start. I dunno what the fuck they were thinkin’” James starts the second he opens the office door; he slaps his mouth shut when he sees Elle sitting in the chair across from me. She’s too busy inspecting her busted knuckles to see the death glare my Beta is firing her way. “And the rogue?” I ask James without looking up from the paperwork I’m filling out, it's not important but if I look at James right now, I might punch him in the face. We’ve disagreed before but this is something else. We’re both on fundamentally different sides of this situation; he wants Elle dead and I want her to be saved. I won’t let him be alone with her until I know he’s seen the brighter side of this whole thing. “Locked up and has a concussion; Winston is keeping an eye on him and Dutton wants to come and check on warzone barbie.” THis time I do look up from the paperwork; Elle is staring right back at James like they’re i

A shiver works down my spine as I push my centre down on his fingers; he’s teasing me and that's not what I want. I want to be stretched wide; I want to be fucked so hard that I don’t know where I am or what is going on. I want to fall flat on the floor so exhausted that I have no choice but to close my eyes and let sleep creep in. “Stop teasing and fuck me!” I snarl against Dutton’s neck; I give his hair a hard tug, which only makes him laugh. “Don’t move.” Dutton’s growl is enough for me to go stone-still; I can feel my pussy throbbing as something sharp presses against me. The sound of material ripping and the cold air hitting my wet flesh has me hissing and arching my back as much as Dutton and the wall will allow. My eyes are closed; I can feel Dutton feeling around for something below me and a second later I feel the warm, spongy head of his cock pressing against my clit. He needs to move down a little for me to get what I need but for right now, the way he’s pressing against

I can’t escape. Flora and her husband are keeping me trapped in the kitchen and the food just keeps coming, they keep sharing weird side glances but neither is saying anything that actually matters. I’ve asked about Gideon and got nothing; I asked about Dutton and got awkward silence in response and when I asked about Octavia’s van for the second time, they said nothing at all. I’m being stalled and each time I try to leave, Flora turns on the mother charm and I end up right back on my ass. I’ve killed Alphas, I’ve killed warlords and I’ve taken down men three times my size but Flora might be the hardest person I’ve ever had to face off with. “No, really, I couldn’t eat another bite.” I wave my hand in the air and place another on my full stomach when Flora places yet another plate of fruit in front of me, she seems to have an endless supply of food, which would impress me if I weren't bloated and getting annoyed. I want answers to my questions and I won’t get them if I can’t ever le
