บททั้งหมดของ The Alpha’s Mysterious Luna : บทที่ 91 - บทที่ 100

~Lindsey~Lunch goes by quickly; Logan decided to sit at the table next to ours and make loud comments the entire time that I’m sure he intended us to hear. I almost feel sorry for him; Callie was ready for any remark he had to say. Calculus and gym seem to fly by. We’re working on softball this week, another sport I don’t have much experience with. Thankfully, Deanna and Callie both do, so they’re able to offer some much needed help. Coach Mabry handles workouts today after school. I guess the guys had some alpha business to attend to. Apparently we will be working on self defense for the foreseeable future. While I don’t mind it, the mundane practice of doing the same things every day is exhausting. I don’t look forward to it. We take turns being the attacker or the victim. It drags on for what feels like hours. Every few reps we swap partners with someone just to keep our guards up; you never know who or what is going to come at you. Coach finally calls it a day. “Be on the

~Brady~This afternoon has felt like torture. Knowing that Jagger might take Lindsey away from me and having to play the kind host is the worst. Not to mention he made a phony excuse for needing fresh air when pack members started arriving. I knew he was going to wait for Lindsey to arrive. It hurt like hell seeing them walk in those doors together, like they were meant to be. John was standing between them, and I could tell he was uncomfortable. At least I know he’s not a fan of them being together either. Maybe I can use that to my advantage. I saw her lead him over to her friends and introduce them. Thanks to my alpha hearing, I know Callie isn’t his biggest fan, which I also plan on exploiting when the time is right. I’m curious as to how Callie knows so much. I’m sure Lindsey told her about her past with Jagger, but that doesn’t explain how she knew that Jagger’s mate was dead or why she thinks Jagger is here for Lindsey. “Dude, your biggest ally right now might be Cal

~Brady~ Jagger’s story had Knight ready to break out. He kept saying that he was trying to steal her from us, that this was him making a claim. One touch from her had him settling in the back of my mind, curled up like a pup. I’m sure Colton sensed my frustration as well, thus his comment. “Well she has yet to confess her love to me,” I say confidently, despite what I feel on the inside, “but she kept me on my toes that day. And every day since.” I smile at Lindsey, who is blushing at being in the center of attention. I can tell she’s not very comfortable at the moment. “Sounds about right. She had a bad habit of telling me off. But I will say most of the time it was warranted.” He hasn’t stopped looking at her, and all I want to do is reach over and smack that stupid smirk off his face. “Yeah well you and Brady are very different.” She says picking up her fork. “Do tell.” He challenges. “I hardly think this is the appropriate place for a pissing contest,” she says

~Brady~ Mom and I upstairs after the pack has cleared out. Dad is going to the second shifter practice to make sure those warriors are training hard and getting what they need; he, Uncle Dave, and Tom usually take rotations. Dad claims it’s a delegation thing and that it saves them from having to show up to every training session. Jagger is settled in on the guest wing; some of the she wolves that hung around Jacqueline and Aviana were flirting with him. Apparently he’s used to it as well; he wasn’t surprised when I warned him not to hand out the code if he didn’t want visitors. “Brady, come sit.” Mom motions in the direction of the couch. I do as she asks, curious as to what she’s up to. “I’m sure you noticed that your aunt, Cammie, and I were acting suspiciously at dinner.” She pauses briefly before continuing. “I’m very well aware of your recent disagreement with Lindsey, and though I was fully prepared to shun you for a month for hurting the female who will undoubtedly b

~Lindsey~ I’m in the middle of getting ready when I hear my phone ding. “Grant got held up this morning. On my way to get you.” I smile at Brady’s text. I hope this means we’re truly on the mend. Maybe any remaining tension will be gone by today. I tell myself that I’m definitely taking it slow this time and not rushing into anything with him, but a part of me knows if he asked me out today, I’d accept without hesitation. He draws me in like a moth to a flame; the attraction is undeniable. I finish my hair and quickly do my makeup. I check out my reflection in the mirror. It’s starting to warm up so I wore a short sleeve shirt and a thin waffle knit sweater with my skinny jeans. I decided to loosely curl my hair today to mix things up. I’m mostly pleased with how I look; I just happen to nit pick everything now that I know Brady is coming to get me. I hear his truck in the driveway and quickly go to grab my bag. Dad left early this morning before I got up. Apparently he had to
