Just Perfect

Beta Kent's POV “Are they here yet?” Alpha Delvin asked when we got to the house of the Alpha of Double Moon the next morning.“No, but they are on their way here. While we await them can we get you breakfast?” Alpha Peterside asked. “That will not be necessary; we already had breakfast before we left the hotel,” Alpha Delvin said, then apologized for the inconvenience. “I do not hold the fact that…” “Mate,” Ariana shouted from up the stairs, cutting off whatever Alpha Peterside was saying before she flew into Alpha Delvin's hands smiling happily. “Hello Mate,” Alpha Delvin said before setting her on her feet. “The whole of this pack knows that you are my mate now. My friends are on the way to meet you,” Ariana said happily.“You do not mean to say you invited people into my house without my consent, Ariana,” her mother said sternly. “I am sorry, Mum. I just wanted them to meet my mate,” Ariana said, pouting, making Alpha Delvin chuckle lightly.“The Alpha is a very busy person

Alpha Hates Me?

Amethyst's POV “Will, I am not sure I can look that dangerous Alpha in the eyes and lie to him. What if he sees through my lies?” I told Will that morning as we got ready to go to Adelia's parents’ house to be interviewed by the Alpha. We knew that he was Adelia's mate. She had told Will that days after she started at the Alpha's training camp but we never envisaged that he would come to Double Moon ever until Adelia was through with the training. “All you just have to do is sit there and insist that you know nothing about her disappearance. Avoid his gaze if necessary,” Will said. It was easier for him to say things like that. He had the mind to keep secrets, which was why Adelia told him more things than I. “You keep rubbing your temple that way. Is the issue disturbing you that much?” Will asked me. “No. My wolf has been antsy since yesterday and it is beginning to give me a headache,” I answered.“You need to calm yourself down, Amethyst, or else you are going to have a ment

Something or Nothing

Ade's POV I waited only for three seconds before I ran after Beta Kent. I knew he had gone after Delvin. I didn't know why Delvin didn't seem to like Amethyst but intended to find out. And to find out, I had to go after both of them. I quickly excused myself from Amethyst and ran upstairs after them. I heard the banging of the door of the room I used with Delvin and I cringed at the sound. I saw Beta Kent open the door carefully and go inside.I guess out of fear of Delvin's anger, Beta Kent left the door open. I walked up to the door but I didn't go inside.“I am sorry Alpha. I am sure that my mate didn't…” Beta Kent started apologizing but Delvin cut him off.“Your mate didn't mean to be flirting with Tate. As it is, I am barely keeping my wolf sane, your mate just threatened that sanity,” Delvin growled at Beta Kent.“I am sorry. I am sure they were just innocently complementing each other,” Beta Kent said gently. I was sure he was being careful not to further aggravate Delvin.“

For Another Day

Ade's POV “You guys will have to keep your friendship away from the Alpha,” Beta Kent said to Amethyst and me. It had been two days since Delvin told me he wanted to have sex with females. It had been two days since I last saw him, not even the scent of him. As he promised, I was given another room, and my things were moved into the room by the hotel attendants. He couldn't even let me go into his room and pack my things myself. Beta Kent, Amethyst, and I were in the car outside the hotel, waiting for him to come downstairs. We had been waiting for over ten minutes. Amethyst was free to follow her mate to his pack. They had gone to see Amethyst's parents and gotten their approval, so Amethyst had packed her things, and the bus at the back had some of her things while the rest was at the back of the car we were in.“That might be a bit difficult,” Amethyst said.“It won't be difficult. You will be staying at my house and not at camp. I will be shuttling home to camp for the time bei

Feeling Better

Ade's POV “Tate, why would the Commandant travel without his Beta and other trainees as promised?” Tristan asked as we sat on the field, relaxing after the morning training, one week after we returned from Double Moon. “I told you that Beta Kent found his mate when we went to Double Moon. It is possible that the Commandant doesn't want to interrupt his Beta's honeymoon,” I said, shrugging as if I didn't care, but inside, I was boiling with concern.“I heard that the Commandant went with a female companion and some trainers,” Kyle said.“What is that supposed to mean?” I asked Kyle. I couldn't hide my interest at that point. I knew that Kyle was very informed when it came to things happening in the training camp. “According to gossip, the Commandant had a terrible argument with his Beta the night before he left. The Beta didn't want him taking a female with him because according to him, the Commandant shouldn't be sleeping around,” Kyle answered.“That must be a lie,” Tristan said s

Very Confusing

Beta Kent's POV “I thought I asked a question. Why are you both silent?” Alpha Delvin growled. He was angry and I could see it rolling off him in waves. I couldn't help but wonder what went wrong. He was not only acting strange towards Tate. He had also changed towards me.I gently got out of the car in order not to aggravate him. Tate did the same and Alpha Delvin stepped back to allow him space. I rounded the car to stand beside Tate.“You both need to start talking now,” Alpha Delvin said glaring at us.“I thought Tate needed fresh air so I permitted him to go outside the camp. I took him where he wanted to go and brought him back myself,” I explained hoping that would make him calm down a little.“Beta Kent. What part of no preferential treatment to any trainee did you not get?” Alpha Delvin asked and I realized that what I said had only worsened the situation. He called me Beta only when I had done something to really piss him off. “I am sorry. It won't repeat itself,” I apolog

Playing the Player

Tristan’s POV“I don't like the fact that Tate is in detention right now but what can we do about it?” Kyle hissed as we sat on a tree trunk after the evening training.“Beta Kent was the one who took him out of camp. Why is he being punished?” I said. “From what I heard, Beta Kent, too, was kept there,e, but he has been released already,” Kyle said.“Why is he then still in the cell. He should be released too,” I said angrily.“Whatever is happening between Tate, Beta Kent and the Commandant is surely confusing,” Kyle said with a shrug. “I had thought that Beta Kent was interested in males, and that was why he liked Tate specifically, until recently when he met his mate. Could it be that both the Commandant and Beta Kent are bisexual and they are both interested in Tate?” I wondered out loud.“Back home, I have a friend who is gay so I know the signs when I see them. Tate doesn't look gay to me,” Kyle said.“I don't know his situation right now. You heard anything?” I asked Kyle.

Angry

Ade's POV“That is the second time Arnold is pointing our way this morning,” Kyle said after our morning training.“Let him be. We are capable of dealing with whatever madness he wants to bring on,” I said heatedly.I wanted to fight. It was as if there was a pent-up energy in me that needed to be disposed of. The morning training and the extra training I did with Kyle and Tristan at night did not seem to be enough to dispose of the energy. It had been two weeks since Delvin asked that I be locked up. I had not set my eyes on him since then. I knew when he was in camp because the air would take his scent to me once in a while just like that morning during training. It had distracted me long enough for the person I was sparring with to get in a blow that left me breathless. He was still doing his tour, but he took the person who came second with him instead. Kyle was a part of his travel team the previous week. Amethyst came to camp sometimes and we talked endlessly about what made D

One Of a Kind

Beta Kent's POV “Say it, Kent,” Alpha Delvin said some seconds after the door closed after Tate had stormed out of the room.‘I am not saying anything Alpha,” I said. ‘I can practically hear your wolf growling at me. Where is your loyalty? You ought to go after Tate. He punched me,” Alpha Delvin said and I almost rolled my eyes at him. “You pushed him too far. I am sure he doesn't hate you,” I said shrugging.“But..” Alpha Delvin said prompting me to continue talking. “If he hates you, you are at fault. You gave him your attention, and then the next minute, you became a total stranger. It is enough to make anyone mad,” I said. “So he is justified. He was right to punch me?” Alpha Delvin asked.“No. I am not justifying his action, nor am I justifying yours,” I said. “Fine. Call your mate to come to camp or have her brought to camp. Let her talk to Tate. I am sure he would calm down,” Alpha Delvin said then went to his seat and sat down.I frowned at him as I thought I was hearing

Couldn't Tell

Ade's POV I stood rooted to the spot watching Tristan go. I had not expected everything to play out the way it did. I had thought Tristan had betrayed me. I had thought of one thousand kinds of death I wished on him as his father's goons held me down. I had followed Tristan to that clearing that night without thinking or suspecting anything unusual. He had told me we were coming to see his mum, and I believed him totally, only to meet his father and his goons waiting to take me away. One thing that I realized at that moment was the fact that Tristan just saved me from his dad and he didn't do it alone. Delvin and Beta Kent knew about it.“We need to go now,” Beta Kent said, touching my shoulder lightly, and I nodded without looking at him. We left the clearing and went back to camp. Tristan was nowhere in sight. The Royal soldiers had Tristan's father and his goons handcuffed and loaded into a van. “We would send for his Beta and Gamma. They should be able to hold forth till his
