JAYNE'S POV"Daddy, look at what she did to me!" Julie cried, my blood boiling from within me. My fists clenched by my side. That girl never ceases to cause trouble. At first, I was able to look away from the humiliation she caused me at the company, but how could she scald my daughter this way?Trevor remained calm. "Jayne, treat Julie at the hospital and ensure it leaves no scar." His face held a frown as he watched Julie."It hurts so bad, Daddy."Just then, his phone rang."Axel, what's the occasion?" He greeted. "What?"A roar followed, the smell of his anger spreading across the room as my temper subsided.A smile finally formed on my face at the realization of what had happened.Aurelia is in trouble. That was all I needed to extinguish the burning rage from within me.The call with Axel ended just as quickly as it began, but Trevor got on another call in an instant."I'm calling to cancel my mother's care, Bridget Frost." He growled. "Send her to me as soon as possible."****

Aurelia'S POVAfter work, we headed straight for the reservation Dominic had secured with the members of Sterling Crest. He was fortunate enough to have Mr. Crawford, one of the corporation's heads, agree to dine as we discussed the procedures needed for an acquisition.Dominic had brought both Vivienne and me to the dinner. I couldn't be happier, and the same could be said for Vivienne who had specifically dolled up today. Dressed in all pink."Mr. Crawford!" Dominic greeted the moment Sterling Crest representatives walked into the private dining room, stretching his arms for a greeting that was warmly received.Beside him was a female wolf, sharply dressed in a suit with short brunette hair. Her face stoic towards both Vivienne and me while she smiled at Dominic."Mr. Mercer, this is Miss Liora. She's my secretary." Mr. Crawford spoke.Dominic did the honours by exchanging greetings with her as well as the other members of Sterling Crest that came with him."I brought two of my best

Aurelia'S POVMy heart thudded heavily as I walked into Dominic's office. The heavy expression on his face worried me deeply.Did the deal fail? But it was too soon to get feedback.Did I do something wrong last night? My brain scrambled around with possibilities of what I must've done wrong at the dinner, but Dominic's voice brought me out of my thoughts."Sit." He ordered. I obeyed."Did something happen last night?" I asked.Dominic shook his head slowly. "No, but this deal might not go through.""What? Why?" My eyes widened as I watched him, desperately praying to the goddess within my heart.I had put all hopes into this project right from the moment he made mention of it. I need it to work."Apparently, Sloan from Glacier Law Firm also applied for the position." He answered.Sloan has been Dominic's greatest rival since before I joined the firm. But I didn't understand why that would put us in jeopardy."Yes, he's your rival, but that doesn't reduce our chances of getting the de

Aurelia'S POVThe tears wouldn't stop flowing as I drove out of their estate.I wasn't crying because of my decision.I was crying because of how little Flora had thought of me. How disposable I'd always been to them.Leaving that family is a huge relief.I wiped my face, taking a shaky breath.Focus, Aurelia. They're not worth it.Right now, I need to—Shit!I slammed on the brakes.I had forgotten to speak to Dane about Dominic's firm.I sighed in exasperation. Donald had mentioned them having an important meeting to discuss. He may not be willing to talk to me.I grabbed my phone. Fingers hovering on the screen.[Hi, are you free?]I didn't expect an instant response. Yet my phone buzzed almost immediately.[I can be, are you okay?]My heart fluttered. What does he mean by 'I can be' like he's at my every beck and call.[Yeah, just wondering if you'll be spending the night at the estate.][Not exactly, I have to be at my house soon tonight.]His response came in swiftly, leaving on

I drove as fast as I could, tears blurring my vision on the highway.Traffic blurred past me in streaks of red and white."Where is Bridget Frost? I'd like to speak to her." I swallowed. Desperately hoping Julie had been bluffing."We're sorry ma'am." The attendant answered, voice trembling. "Your father commanded her discharge."My heart shattered. Why?Why the hell would Trevor go through these lengths?I hung up. Driving even faster without a care for the road until I arrived at the mansion. The building loomed ahead, shadows casting over the stone walls. My mind clouded with rage, anger brewing through every nerve of mine as I stormed right into the mansion."Miss Frost. Welcome." A maid rushed towards me, her feet hastening as she blocked my pathway.Head bowed."Move." I growled."I'm sorry, Miss. But the alpha is busy with his mate." She shuddered.Busy? I couldn't give a flying fuck!I shoved past her, barging right into Trevor's room. The sounds of his grunts, Jayne's moans a
