Silas's Pov Annoyance could not even begin to describe how I felt at the moment. Zenith's Pov Of all the Alphas who it could have been, it had to be him. He just made a very stupid mistake. He had already crossed a line once, he should have known better than to come anywhere near what belonged to me again. I looked at Kyle. “Which way?” Kyle pointed back down the corridor. “He ran when he saw me. I followed as far as could, but I lost him. I was just coming back to inform you when I met you here.” My hand on Silas’s arm could feel the tremor running through him, and I could almost taste the panic in his scent. “Are you hurt?” I asked, eyes glancing over him. Except for his distorted state and his roughed up clothes, he looked alright. But I still had to make sure. Silas shook his head quickly, then hesitated. “I–I stabbed him. With a knife, so I was able to get away.” Pride and fury hit at the same time. Though I wondered where Silas had gotten a knife, but it didn't matter. What I hoped was that he stabbed that bastard deep enough to damage something.
