Never Married, Yet I'm on This Wedding Tape のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 11 - チャプター 17

It took a long time before I finally calmed down. It had gotten dark outside.Mom sat beside me, with her eyes swollen from crying. The two of us sat in the dust in silence. In the end, I was the first to speak. My voice was so hoarse that I barely recognized it. "Mom, what was with that DVD? Who sent it to me?"Mom shook her head. "I have no idea. We got rid of everything related to Julian back then. The recordings, the photos, and even every video from your wedding day. None of it should still exist.""But they do," I said. "Someone kept them and mailed the DVD to me."I looked at the rosewood chest on the floor. In those photos, I was smiling so brightly, completely unaware of what fate had in store for me just a few hours later.A thought suddenly occurred to me. Perhaps those old keepsakes had never really disappeared.Maybe they had just been hidden away, waiting for the right time to show up."I want to see him," I said.Mom froze. "What did you say?""I said I want to

October 18, 2008.The day we got married was also the day Julian died.A small photo was attached to the headstone. He was wearing a white shirt, smiling softly. It was the same photo I had seen in the attic. But after more than ten years of sun and rain, the colors had almost completely faded. "Second, don't hold onto me for too long. Your biggest flaw is that you can't let go of the past," Julian said. "You can use the same old backpack for seven or eight years, but you can't do that with me."When it's time to let go, let go. Move on. Find someone who will treat you well and live a good life."At this point, his voice had started to tremble."Third…" He stopped, then smiled. Tears finally rolled down from the corners of his eyes. "Forget it. Maybe I shouldn't say the third one after all. If I do, you'll cry again, and I can't bear that."He moved closer to the camera and pressed a finger against the lens, just like how he used to tap my forehead whenever we said goodbye. He would always say, "Wait for me to come back.""Vera, meeting you in this life has been the greatest blessing I've ever had," the Julian in the video said. "If there is another life, I'll still come find you. When that day comes, don't forget who I am.The screen went dark. This time, it never cam
