Chapter 32Mia's POV After Liam was taken away by security and Kai managed to console me, we went back to the villa. While in the car, I felt so exhausted—both physically and emotionally. And soon, my eyelids grew heavy and I fell asleep. By the time I opened my eyes again, I felt myself being lifted. My heart skipped a beat as I tried to figure out what was going on, and that was when I saw that Kai was carrying me out of the car. I tried to speak and wiggle myself out of his arms, but the words that came out of my mouth were undecipherable. Kai looked down at me with a gentle expression on his face. “Shh. Go back to sleep,” he whispered as he went up the short steps that led to the house. His voice felt so soothing, and almost like I was being hypnotized.
