Chapter 1Mia's POV“Thanks for healing me, Mia. My ankle has stopped hurting,” the football player said with a grin, and I smiled at him. He had sprained his ankle during a match and he was brought to me so I could treat him just in time for the second half of the game. I had healing abilities that healed people faster than traditional methods. “You're welcome. You can walk and play football now, but go easy on the field just in case,” I told him, and he nodded. Chapter 3Mia's POV I couldn't help the whimper that escaped my throat as two big and burly men tied my hands behind my back and put a blindfold on my face. “How could a tiny little thing like you break into our boss’s house and think you'll get away with it? You're going to regret it!” one of them sneered and I sobbed. This was not how I expected things to go. There was never a plan to get caught. Chapter 5Mia's POV I woke up with a start. My head was throbbing when I opened my eyes. I blinked through the haze as I tried to recognize where I was. This wasn't my dorm room, was the first thing I realized. The bed I was laying on was way softer and bigger than the one I usually slept on. A groan escaped my throat as I looked around in confusion. The room was way bigger too. It was like two of my room combined. My eyes found a floor-length mirror in the far right corner of the room, and I caught my reflection. My hair was a mess. My eyes were puffy. My face was blotchy. And I had streaks of dried tears on my cheeks. That was when everything that happened last night came crashing down on me. Liam. Chapter 7Mia's POV Monday came and I got ready for school groggily. It was the first time I would be showing my face in public since Kai made the announcement, and I wasn't looking forward to what people would say. It was already a lot that I got taunted by my fellow pack members and students like me for not being like all the other lycans. I was weaker compared to them. I couldn't shift. And I didn't have heightened senses like all the others. But now that Kai had let it be known to the entire pack that I was his fiancée, even though I really wasn't, I had a feeling the taunts were going to get worse. Kai was deeply revered in the pack and a lot of people looked up to him. I was sure they must hate the fact that he “chose” me of all people to be his fiancée. Chapter 9Mia's POV I looked at Kai in surprise when he apologized. I hadn't been expecting him to do so, so I just nodded out of shock. “I... It's okay,” i stuttered, not knowing what else to say. He simply nodded as he continued feeding me, and I diligently ate the food, feeling quite flustered about the whole thing. After some minutes, Kai finished feeding me, and I was full. A maid came to clear the table, and I sat in silence. Kai was still sitting beside me, and I felt him staring at me. “Does it hurt a lot?” he asked, staring at my hand. “Not that much, but it still hurts,” I responded in a low voice. He didn't say anything as he stood up and walked away. I thought he had left the dining room, and I was about to stand up and head back to my bedroom when he returned. “Hold this against your palm,” he said, holding a cold compress. I slowly took it from him, still confused by the sudden change in behavior. Was his wolf making him do this? Or was he perhaps bipolar?
