They laughed warmly. Abruptly, the door swung open. A troop of five men around their twenties came in view. They were in black formal suits. Only one attracted her sight. She sucked in her breath, her heart raced, her body trembled. She grasped the bed sheet in her hands. She felt tightness in my chest, her belly ache and dizziness. Last night's memory was standing in front of her in the beautiful shape of him, reality. He took her virginity. She could feel her body on fire. His white shirt was hugging his muscular body, not bulky but regnant. Three buttons of his shirt were unfastened, showing his tattoos on chest and toned body. There was a light wary smile on his face, showing him some kind of Goddess. There were four people behind him, charging their guns at them. She was terrified of him. Was he here for her? CHAPTER ONE
Liam Rodriguez
He glanced at his wrist. It was just five past twenty minutes after dawn. He was either waiting for his file to reach the table or he simply didn't give a damn about it. What mattered to him was fairness when it came to business. It wasn't about business but her, his strange feelings for her. The previous night was still vivid in his memories. A smile spread across his face which he quickly covered with his hand over his mouth.
'It has hardly been an hour since I left her in my penthouse, wearing just my shirt, my virgin beauty. Though, she wasn't there when I woke up.'
He mused, feeling a tug on his lips. But, the thought of her going infuriated him.
"Sir," Danny said, interrupting the train of his thoughts. He approached him with the awaited file.
"Did you double-check everything?" He asked. His expression turned cold again. Danny knew his mistake could cost him his head.
"Yes, sir," Danny responded immediately.
He didn't trust his own shadow. He scrutinized the document carefully. After reviewing it, He signed the papers and exited the office. His bodyguards tailed with him.
"Brother!!" Danil said as he ran up to him, gasping.
"Dan! Why are you in such a hurry?" He raised his eyebrows in curiosity. It was only his brothers he kept his soft side for.
The corners of his lips kicked up. "I cracked the deal, Liam!" Danil hugged him.
He patted his back, returning the embrace. His smile matched his. "Congrats, Dan! I knew you could do it." He smiled widened.
"I need to share this great achievement with Mom and Dad." Danil cheerfully smiled, drawing back.
"Sure, Dan." He said, nodding. His smile slightly dropped at the mention of their mother.
Danil Rodriguez, his younger brother, who eagerly wanted to lead the life of an innocent person. He desired to establish his own construction business without relying on his father and his elder brother. He expressed to Liam that he hadn't no interest in the mafia's money, which boiled Liam's blood.
He heaved a deep sigh to compose himself. He didn't need to put up with such shit. He could move mountains for his brothers. Yes! They were the leaders of a powerful mafia organization. Liam offered him help, not from mafia money. He was the owner of a construction business, hotels, restaurants and clubs in almost every major city around the world, along with several shipping companies, which are operated by his youngest brother Kairo in New York, London, Singapore and India.
Danil left to make a call. "Good job Danny! Dan did not even get the feeling of suspicion." He said, patting his back.
"Thank you, sir. It's an honour that you liked my work." Danny replied with a smile as he bowed his head.
He hummed as he returned the smile.
The owner of P & F construction didn't want to back up easily. Upon hearing his name, they stepped back without creating any trouble for Danil. He detached the information about them. Danny had fixed a meeting with them, indeed the owners were compelled to attend the meeting. Although his men could easily do this without his involvement, he involved himself with his girl. He entered their office located on the second floor with his guards. Both oldies and their families were staying under the same roof for years.
Fernandes dropped his coffee cup in fear and shock seeing him.
"You can call us, sir. At any time…" He said with trembling hands.
He could sense the fear in his voice. Their faces were blanched with horror.
"Danny! " Liam said intensely.
Danny was well aware of his job and he didn't need further instruction from his boss.
He stood up and descended the stairs. His presence was more than enough to install dread in them.
As he walked past the lawn using his long strides, water splashes fell on his face, followed by the sweet voice of laughter that echoed in his ears. He curiously peered through his parted fingers. His armed bodyguards were already in action, ensuring that no one dared to even look at him without a death wish. He instantly gestured to them to stop, with the sign of his finger. He didn't even want them to look at her. A broad smile curled up on his face as he watched her smiling. Her long, light brown hair cascaded down to her slender waist, and her creamy complexion complemented light chocolate brown eyes. There was innocence in her eyes that reflected her pure heart, her innocence. She hugged the two girls beside her. The three of them embraced as if they had seen each other after decades. She was shorter than the other two.
A wave of memories rushed through his mind from the previous night. She belonged to him, only him. He was determined.
'She's my girl.' He thought and grinned broadly.
Her smile warmed his eyes. It was a comforting sight. A woman hadn’t affected him this way in a long time, It was seven in the morning. She was still wearing his white shirt. He didn't come here to thank anyone. He visited this place to see his girl.
"Danny, Did you do what I asked this early morning?" He asked, still gazing at her.
"This morning?" he asked, moving his gaze on them. "Yes, that girl." Danny muttered to himself.
"Do you have a problem with your brain?" he snapped, his jaw locked.
"Apologizes, sir. I thought this c-could wait." Danny stuttered, sensing anger in his boss's voice.
"Let me do the thinking part. Long light brown hair." He said as he smiled while warming his eyes, glancing at her.
"You have never shown interest in any girl before. She's the same one from last night at the club." Danny continued to stare at her.
"Lower your eyes if you love to see!" He gritted his teeth, feeling rage.
"S-sorry sir." he bowed his head.
"Two hours!" He reined in his anger. "I don't want you to disappoint me. " He said coldly.
He watched her from his car until she walked into the house, careful not to let her notice his presence. He couldn't look away. Scaring her was the last thing in his mind.
She left his house without exchanging a word with him which surely infuriated him, no longer seeing her around him.
Afterward, he drove back home, a place dominated by his father's wife. Fortunately, it wasn't here in Goa.
His mother, Lily Black served as the personal security of his father. They had never married. His father had once explained to him. He had fallen in love with his mother, but his marriage to his wife was just a demand imposed by his grandfather as his father loved the power which came from the mafia throne. He had promised his sons he'd never force them to marry with his choice. But his father's love for power had taken away his mother from him forever. They were free to choose. His father wanted their choices to be good for his sons and family members, particularly for his family.
Liam always felt the weight of his father's expectations, especially since he was the first born and the throne was meant for him. He and Danil were born on the same day. Liam was an hour older than him. Although Mrs Rodriguez was his stepmother, she adored him like her own son. Liam doubted. Though, he expected it was out of fear of his father. She was more invested in seeing Danil to be the boss, take over the throne. The throne was always given to the firstborn. It landed in Liam's lap.
He shook his head but he couldn't shake her away. Her smiling face lingered in his thoughts. Danny had filled him in with information about her.
He couldn't resist the urge to see her again. He picked up the keys and set off back to her residence.
ARIANA She wasn't surprised when Kairo suddenly decided to leave Detroit. She was back in his mansion. She hissed in pain as she softly placed her finger on the bruise over her forehead. Her blonde hair was in unruly waves and cascading down her shoulders. Her phone began to ring. She swirled her head at the desk. Sauntering forward, she swiped it up in her hand with a smile, "Sal, I'm fine. I've told you many times." She muttered. "Yeah! Yeah! I trust you. Still, I wanna know. How are you now?" She wasn't regretting that she couldn't spend time with her brother as he was busy catching the trouble. She sat on the couch, staring down at the carpet, "I'm good." 'I haven't seen my husband after reaching home. He's not answering my calls. I don't know what to do.' The door opened softly. Her head jerked at it, her breath caught in her throat at the sight of him. She was looking at him without blinking, "I'll call you later,
KAIRO His cuffs were unfastened and his sleeves were rolled up. His hands were gloved. A knife was gleaming in his hand. The blade was covered with blood. The crimson was dripping on the floor. A low growl rumbled through his chest, his glare was fixed at him. There wasn't any part of his skin visible clean. He was covered in his own blood. His fingers were missing, several cuts on his palms and the back of his hands. "Leave something for us, Kairo." Danil's smirking tone reached his ears. He leaned against the opened door, looking down at struggling, groaning in pain Tony. Tony stared at them with hate in his eyes. The cloth in his mouth was muffling his screams. Kairo glowered and fisted in his face, "Lower your gaze, piece of ****!" He snarled, punching his hand one more time. He made another hit over the back of his hand, on the several cuts. Tony howled in pain. His face creased.
A shiver moved up her body when she found their guards' gazes on her. She managed a nervous smile and took the way to the kitchen. Her body tensed involuntarily when they started to walk behind her. She tried hard not to show fear. They just needed a little hint and it would reach Kairo. She could have lost her mother forever. Her heart was racing so hard and fast she was fearing it was enough for them to notice that something was off. The tension in the air was surrounding her or only she was feeling it. The maids looked up at her. She ignored them as her gaze fixed on the second door of the kitchen. She looked over her shoulder. They were busy inspecting the area. One of the maids stepped forward, her head bowed. The staff wasn't changed. She recognized her immediately. She could ask for their help but she didn't want to put their lives in danger. She could only hope that her husband would save her from her father's danger. But no one could save the
She had learned how to bury those feelings, she felt when she found herself alone in the room. She was frightened to imagine the stalker around her every time. The fear and anxiousness, she couldn't control. The heavyweight that she was feeling in his absence was making her suffocate. She blinked a few times, plucking her eyes away from the door. It opened softly. Her heart began to race in anticipation. A slow smile appeared on her face. "Ria," Her mother walked into the room. She didn't let her smile drop, "Mom," She hurried her feet at her mother, "Is dad treating you..." Marcella shook her head, "Did he hurt you?" She cupped the side of her face. A deep frown foamed over her face, "Why would he hurt me, Mom?" She shook her head in disapproval, "He's not father," She added, looking into her eyes. Marcella glanced at her, looking stunned, "He isn't cruel." "Why would he?" She relaxed that her mother wasn't g
Tension radiated from her. She didn't want to come and meet her family in such a condition when she knew there was a stalker out there who was too dangerous. Silence filled her thoughts when she looked at her husband. It wasn't any special occasion. Only Vincent and his trusted guards knew the reason for their arrival. Her father and mother and the entire outfit were unaware of it. She was planning to stay away from her father. They had busy days. It didn't count when she was in danger. Her father, Dominick, had thrown a party welcoming them. She ran her fingers over the diamond necklace around her neck. Her gaze halted on a simple thick bangle of silver. Kairo had asked her to not remove it. She wasn't interested in putting it on, but Kairo insisted on it. It looked like a classic piece, but she still found it boring. The silence could be felt around her. She was dreading it. She stared off toward the garden out of the window. She hadn't prai
KAIRO He wanted to be in the middle of the street, fighting, drawing blood from his enemies' bodies. He sharply breathed in, adjusting his tie. He ran his hand over his coat. His brother's gun was lying beneath it. The clicks of the heels drew his attention, decreasing his frustration. He moved his gaze on her body swiftly. She was wearing a grey dress, the dress was moulding with her body. She smiled at him when his gaze met her through the mirror. She couldn't hide her fear. "I'm ready," She breathed out and fidgeted on her feet. Buttoning his coat, he turned to her, "You don't need to be afraid when I'm with you," He said. After staring at him for a second, she nodded her head, "Um, I saw Travis out of our door." She said, nervously. A grin appeared on his face, his forehead creased as he walked over to the door and pulled open it. His brows furrowed further at the sight of Caspian, "You're late,
