Greed is a powerful feeling that has changed the world over thousands of years. Science, religion, and magic have built a new era and there are some who want to end it all, for the sake of a dying world. It is only up to certain beings to awaken the world and cleanse the lurking evil within the desires of the current rulers, or to wipe out those who can't contribute any good to a new rising world.

Prologue
The beginning of everything is unknown for those who were not there to behold, but there will always be a glimpse of what could have happened for those who dare enough to wonder about it. Human beings have the ability to craft and build, but most importantly, to wonder. The limit of every single one of us is our own imagination.   The story I'm about to redact will be fictional, but every character will have relatable human traits and their lives will have different backgrounds. Their personalities will be connected to what they do. Feelings, ideas, and relationships will influence their skills, making them grow stronger or sink them in despair. however, please note this is my very first story so it might lack many features, I hope everyone understands that while reading,   Life and death are empty concepts without each other, just like the story would lose its meaning if the main purpose of it gets defeated by the lack of importance in a ce

Introduction 1/2: A Deadly Choice.
Many years ago, when the earth was still a civilized place, the life within would start to destroy itself because of the basic, yet the powerful feeling of greed. The development of science reached a point where genetics could create life easily, so governments around the globe created "monsters" with dragon/dinosaur-like bodies which could resist most of the weapons created by mankind. These biological weapons started developing special abilities related to nature. There was a point where humanity couldn't restrain their instincts, and they broke free.   Humanity was so afraid of its own creation that we hunted down most of them by throwing special nuclear bullets, not even close in power as atomic bombs but effective enough to kill at least one of them. But there was something we missed, something that really matters after all: living beings adapt and evolve to survive. The worst happened. Winged beasts that were immune to radiation and could b

Introduction 2/2: Order and Chaos.
The world in its prehistoric state was a hard place to live in for Human beings. We were still the most numerous race but the limitation of resources made harder the development of buildings and technology. Somehow we managed to make deals with the other races and the world divided into kingdoms because of their new rulers, The Gods, who descended to put a temporary stop to the imminent extinction of humans.   The half-breeds became an independent sub-race growing in number every day. Dwarves normally associated with humans making deals for resources. Elves built their own society, one more connected to nature; naturally they were wiser than humans. The Gods were attracted to science and human development so they let us do more research.   The new fauna had a prehistoric form, preserving their predecessor's behavior but obviously stronger and wilder. The offspring of Half-breeds were stronger, at least enough to hunt. Also, a low sub-class o

Chapter 1: Fated.
The knowledge in the world grew far more than expected, and there were some who wanted to acquire all the knowledge they could, these are the collectors. Some of them travel in large groups and others rather travel alone but every one of them seeks knowledge. Some of them even accept job requests in exchange for knowledge. There was once one large group of collectors, all of them with years of experience and knowledge wrote invaluable books which they carried all the time in their transports. One day, these collectors were studying the place where the Prophets sealed away the Death itself, DD. What they didn't know was that the Prophets couldn't seal DD completely, they just chained it down to the earth inside a mountain. One of these collectors had a child, a new-born boy called Chronos, in honor of the God of time. It was the only baby among them and his parents couldn't just leave him. What they didn't know is the mis

Chapter 2: A Merciless World.
I better make something to carry the egg and to keep it warm and safe-Chronos thought. By the time the blessing stopped emitting light and energy Chronos noticed some drones approaching the mountain. "This is bad..."-he muttered. "I have to hide the egg and hurry up to leave this place".   Despite his age, Chronos was a very skilled hunter, he could also have the patience and precision enough to transform scales from DD into weapons and light armor to cover certain parts of his body. Everything he knew was thanks to the library which the collectors left when they were reduced to dust by DD. Chronos knew his parents were killed by DD, but he was not angry or sad, he just accepted it a long time ago; this helped him to have no troublesome thoughts while growing, his mind was clear and sharp.   A while after, the drone inspected the zone, Chronos came out from his hiding spot and started to create a backpack big enough for the egg.

Chapter 3: Eyes Everywhere.
"I'm Natasha by the way, but everyone calls me Nat and I am a Dwarf" -Nat said looking up to Chronos while walking towards a relatively ancient-looking shack. "You?" She asked.   A Dwarf, that explains her stature -Chronos thought before answering. "I'm Chronos" -He replied.   "I'm sorry for what happened back in the inn, I know Bernard since I have use of common sense and he likes to fool foreigners but lately the number of travelers has decreased and he has got barely income from his job. Anyway, you look like a foreigner, so let me tell you: some weird stuff has happened lately, a strange light appeared about a month ago and special teams from the government came many times to inspect the town asking for a dragon egg, don't you think it is weird? Some people were taken to the capital to be interrogated a week now" -Nat explained.   "It is true, I'm a foreigner, and thanks for the information, Natasha" -C

Chapter 4: The Hunt.
Despite the weight from his backpack and Nat, Chronos ran like if he was not carrying anything at all. Nat blacked out the moment Chronos picked her up and ran away, she was so mentally and emotionally broken she couldn't stay awake.   Chronos tried to get to his settlement as fast as he could but the Destroyers were right before them. I need to find a place to hide before going back to the forest, but where? -Chronos thought while running.   A few minutes later, heavy ammunition impacted the ground right next to him, shattering part of it almost instantly and making Chronos' escape more difficult. Then, in a matter of seconds, a Destroyer passed right in front of Chronos, blocking his route to the forest. No! If we get caught again Doc's death will be in vain... -Chronos thought with sadness reflected on his eyes.   The other 3 destroyers surrounded Chronos and Nat, leaving them with no esca

Chapter 5: New Friends.
Chronos and Phill blacked out almost instantly after they hit the ground. the Dragon survived the explosion and the radiation seemed to have no effect on it. When everything seemed calmed the dragon went back to where it came from. Argos was destroyed but not all the population had the same deadly fate. Some of the villagers cried their losses and some others tried to rescue their belongings. Everyone was affected in some way or another. The scorched piece of wasteland which once was half of the town and the other half which was ruined became a kindly reminder of how devastating a single AMHAR unit could be. Nat survived the demolition of the house and popped out of the rubble with a deep breath. "Gree! Are you alive?!" -She asked while trying to release the rest of her body from the debris. Gree raised a hand and made a thumbs up while trying to grab something from the rubble. "Yeah, I'm pretty much alive" -She said wit
