-1- Just another day
"Kairo give me that back you little shit!" I screamed as I skidded down the hall chasing after my 13 year old cousin.  He used to be such a cute kid, now he's the most annoying teen on the planet. His fluffy mop of light brown curls sit on the top of his head, large caramel eyes and the cheekiest of grins, I have no doubt he'll be a complete heart breaker in years to come, his good looks and tanned skin are sure to have all the she-wolves after him and I'll take pride in slaughtering anyone of them that ever try to hurt him.  "Gotta catch me first treacle" he winked as he sprinted down the stairs, out through the front door and into the front garden.  Ha, he thinks he's so smart! Guess he didn't notice that Auntie Cece had left the upstairs window open, I did. Without even a seco

-2- When tomorrow becomes today
'BZZ..BZZ..BZZ..BZZ..BZZ..' I slap away aimlessly at my bedside draws, trying desperately to shut the damn alarm clock up, before giving up and pushing the whole unit over onto the floor with an almighty bang that shook the floor boards.  I silently thank the goddess that it's Friday, meaning everyone else in the house was already awake and no one would come in screaming at the fact I'd woken them. Stretching my arms above my head I sit myself up against the headboard of my bed and groan at the fact that not even the sun is awake yet. Why does training always have to be so early? Waking up at 6:30am was an absolute killer.  I mean it probably wouldn't be so bad if I didn't insist on staying up so late watching pointless videos online but I was 17, I was supposed to stay up late and struggle in the morning, right?

-3- Family and food
While the crowds slowly departed and many pack members stopped to congratulate their undefeated Alpha, I took the opportunity to slip off for a well deserved shower. Not only could I smell the metallic mix of our blood smeared across my face and body but I could taste it too, leaving a bitter copper taste across my tongue.  After showering I quickly dress in my comfy fitted grey lounge suit and white trainers, before standing in front of the mirror to assess the damage. My face was covered in black and blue bruising, my left eye swollen as I knew it would be but thanks to the healing abilities of werewolves I knew the damage would be gone in a day or two, some of the bruising was already disappearing.  Taking one finally look at my poor bruised face I sigh, grabbing my sports bag before leaving the changing rooms.

-4- The first weekend of summer
Opening my eyes I groan, as the sun glares through the window lighting up my entire room, I knew I should have closed the curtains before I fell asleep.  I try burying my head in the pillows wishing I could just fall back to sleep, but it was no good. I'm awake.  Sitting up I glance at the alarm clock on the bedside draws next to me, 9:58am. How was it so late in the morning already? And why hadn't any of the boys been in to wake me up yet? Not that I was complaining, this was the best lay in I'd had in years!  I hop out of bed with a stretch and walk into my en-suite for my usual morning routing, quick pee and a shower.  I decide to take some time with my hair this morning and actually dry it rather than just p

-5- The mark of your birthright
I just sat there, stunned.  I honestly couldn't believe what I was hearing. But right now, I couldn't really hear anything.. just a continuous buzzing as I felt the world around me almost wobble. Yeah, that's it's wobbling.. and wibbling.. and wobbling anddddd....... "Aurora.. Aurora, come on girl get up. Let her get some rest, she has a lot to process" I could faintly hear Uncle Mac's voice, sort of.. bits of it maybe. It was floating around my head somewhere, maybe it was playing with that buzz buzzzz buzzzzzzing noise  Buzzzzzzzzzzzz  Buzzzzzz Buzzz  I think it's finally easing off. The rooms seems quiet. Quiet makes me nervous.  'Alma?'.... 'Alma, please. I just

-6- The first night
We drove the ten minute journey in silence. I had nothing to say about the situation and I got the feeling Landon knew I wasn't in the mood for small talk. Getting out of Landon's truck, the sound of arguing was the first thing I heard. I quickly run up the porch steps barging the front door open, Landon close behind me.  "Really?!" I yell above the noise "I thought something serious had happened and what.. you're arguing over the last roast potato?!" I laugh at the site of Kairo growling at Kane as they both hold onto the last roastie.  "I don't know why they're fighting over it in the first place, it was only a little taster plate to keep them quiet until you got home" Auntie Cece says, pulling a tray of piping hot roast potatoes from the oven. "Plenty more to go around. No one goes hungry in this house" she chuckles, carefu

-7- Perfectly unperfect
LANDON'S  P.O.V -I'd never told anyone about Josiah before, but Aurora just sat there and listened, she didn't judge like I thought she would.Josiah was just a baby when he died, so there was no real sibling relationship between us but it still hurt. It hurt to know that I should have an annoying little brother, my parents a second child, but instead the moon goddess took him back. She needed him more than we did.The pain of losing him really did take its tolls on us all.I never heard my father curse the way he did back then, nor had I ever been so thankful that he had Alpha Nico to share his pain. They spoke often about Josiah, I guess it helped that Alpha Nico had too lost a child of such a young age.

-8- Summer time
After Landon had opened up to me about his mum and Josiah, I felt less hostility towards him.  Other than being ridiculously cocky and annoying over the years he'd never really done anything wrong to me, in fact the more I thought about it the more I realised it was actually me that had been a total bitch to him.  My father had found out that the wolves who attacked within the Alpha house weren't in fact rogue wolves, they belonged to White Meadow pack. We were familiar with them but due to the distance between us we held no real alliance.  However this particular pack had recently been taken over by Alpha Carn of the Emerald Falls pack that resides just beyond the White Meadow pack lands. Apparently he and my father had crossed paths in the past but of course my father didn't sa

LANDON'S P.O.V'Listen, I've just linked RaRa and told her I'm going to meet Blaze. The clearing is already set up for you, Blaze has taken the picnic over and a blanket all you have to do is get her there' Ember linked me as Aurora flicks through rails of CDs'And what if she loses it and goes bat shit crazy?' I link back suddenly feeling nervous about going ahead with this'Landon. You asked for my help, I've given you it. Just stop over thinking it.. and if her eyes start glowing RUN!' ember laughs back before cutting the linkI can't believe she even agreed to help me, Rory has been turning down my offers for months now but I couldn't just give up, I've be obsessed with her for years. I know she's only hesitatin

-10- Traitors in the pack
LANDONS P.O.V "GET MAC!" I scream at Alpha Nico. I know I shouldn't, he's my Alpha but I was too worried about Rory to think about that right now.  His eyes flash for a moment before he composes himself, eyes remaining blue "I'll let that one slide" he says with a low growl "Mac is already on his way." He states before turning to address the warriors.  Looking down at her limp body laying in my arms I feel the tears begin to form, blurring my vision. My only comfort is watching the consistent rise and fall of her stomach as she takes slow breaths.  'At least she's alive. There is nothing more we can do than simply be here for her right now' Knox tries to reason with me.  I know he's talking
