Mostly, how was she to know that unusual things will begin to happen from that night forward? Sebastian Lee has been watching Debby. She has something he wants. Soon, Debby finds out the things are not that simple.

The figures before me appeared in twos and three. All the bodies moved in sync with the music blaring from the loudspeakers which I cannot see. Given their sound prowess, I can only imagine how big they must be.
Never have I been in a place like this before. You'd find me in coffee shops and libraries and in fact, anywhere else but a club. But I ended my housemanship yesterday and Sophia, the bane of my existence insisted on taking me out to celebrate.
"Girl! You need to get out there and start living. You can worry about when to start your residency and whether to spend the rest of your life dealing with mental people or touching people's brains later on but right now?! Prepare. I am taking you out. No worries, it's all on me." She had said, in response to my question of what field to specialize in after I practice general medicine for a while.
Of course, I knew what Sophia's idea of a celebration is. This is it. Or maybe it is just the kind she thinks I need right now. She even included that I find a man to give the honor of taking away my virginity. She is a total cray, I tell you.
But I somewhat agree with her. I should get myself a man soon. I personally do not see the upsides to it seeing as my life will be rudely intruded and distabled but medically, there are a lot of advantages. At the very least, the estrogen level in my body with being increased, and perhaps, just maybe, all of the brown spirals on my head become silkier and my body becomes smoother.
So here I am, at 'The wreakin'. Drunk on my first bottle of vodka.
The wreakin'. I wonder why anyone would name a club like that.
"You're good?" Came the voice of Sophia, over the loud booming music. "Do you want to dance?" She is yelling. I know because I can see her facial muscles. But I can only hear her a little because her voice is drowned by the buzz in the room. To save myself the trouble of yelling back, I simply nodded.
The act brought me a slight wave of pain. I shut my eyes tight for some seconds before opening them, hoping to feel better.
I didn't.
"I am fine," I said to Sophia.
"Good. 'cause I'm about to leave you to yourself."
"What do you mean to leave me to myself?" I queried, my voice increasing alongside my headache with every word I say.
"I'm going to go dance. I know you are probably too unstable to dance so maybe you could go check out that dude in the corner that has been looking in this direction." She paused to wriggle her brows. "At you." She added, mischievously.
"If that's the reason you're leaving, then don't. If he is looking in this direction, then he might be looking at you or anyone of the ladies here."
We were at the bar stand and it was because of me. Sophia thought I would be too left out if she had taken me to the VIP section of the club, where all the rich folks stayed to have their fun. Instead, she had brought me to the bar stand and I sat next to her and face to face with the bartender. This way, I would have a proper view of the club and the people in it and thus, be able to choose a guy to sleep with.
"I'm going to dance, silly. It's not because of him. Anyways, don't lose your chance."
She climbed off the stool she was on and disappeared into the moving swarm of horny people before me. I guess I was part of them, seeing as I was here too even though I was not horny. Instead of tingling sensations in my very particular areas like a horny person would have, I felt an awful ache in my head and my feet. The mules Sophia made me wear instead of my usual sneakers caused me discomfort.
"That is ridiculous!" She had exclaimed. "Who wears those to the club? What are you even thinking? Look, leave it all to me." She has said when I brought out my Vans sneakers to put on.
I looked around me. Right ahead of me was a guy fervently rocking a willing woman who was also dancing to his pace. Next to them was another set of males and females eating up each other's faces. The sight irked me.
Too much exchange of saliva.
My eyes went on ahead and to a corner. He has been standing there for a while. I noticed because in the entire movement of people, sighting one person that was standing still in a corner was unusual. I can't see his face from here with the hat he has on but I felt a pull toward him. His hands were in the pockets of the leather jacket he wore which was zipped halfway.
A merge of bodies blocked my view and I could not see him. I remembered what Sophia said so I stood up, trying to steady myself. The neon light all over filtered into my eyes and intensified the ache I was feeling in my head. Somehow though, I manage to get my legs to walk and I moved toward him.
He was looking at me like he was watching me go to him. I still could not see his face but I knew he was watching me, his eyes trained perfectly on my staggering form until I stood before him.
I was thankful my shoes did not depart my legs and sent me thudding to the floor. That would have been a big embarrassment.
Up close, I noticed that hair covered his face and only his sharp jawline was visible. That jawline could cut through ice.
He did not take his eyes away from me even for a second.
I smiled. I have found him. The one deserving of the honor.
So I move even closer to him and shoved my chest into his, just like Sophia had taught. I made sure that the softness of my girl is pressed into him and I confirmed this because I could also feel all of the hardness beneath his jacket in return. I run my fingers all over his chest and then move them up to his face.
As I tried to part his hair to have a clearer view of his face, his hand seized mine and in one swift turn, I had my back against the wall.
I got the memo. He didn't want me looking at his face.
It didn't matter. Sophia also said that it was even better if it was a stranger that slept with me for the first time. This was because then there won't be any complications that would arise. He could go his way when it was done with and I would go mine, never to meet again.
So I catch my breath and looked at him. His breath fanned my face in slow steady breaths. I wanted to remove his hat and take a long look at what was beneath the covering of his hair but I stop myself. I could not try even if I wanted because my hands were still in his grasp and he was holding them over my head.
We are in a position such that one of my entirely exposed thighs is in between his legs and my chest is pressed into him What did I say about particular areas? Now I was getting the sensations. My head still ached, even though my eyes were roaming his entire body.
"What do you want?" He said, calmly, every word coming out with its own force.
Maybe I was wrong. Maybe he is not the guy.
But it didn't matter anymore. It could be any one so I said, "I do not want anything. I am here to give you something."
"And?"
"Do you wanna pop my cherry? I need to not be a virgin by tomorrow morning." I said, as sultrily as the alcohol in my system allowed me to sound. I probably sound like a dimwit.
I saw his jawline move. It was a smile. Perhaps, an agreeing smile. I smiled too.
"Sure."
When my phone started ringing, I had the least intuition that it was going to be another twist of events. Now my brother is taken. Since I came to know about this paper, it has been nothing but heartache.“They have my brother,” I announced to Sebastian and Walter after getting off the phone.“Shit!” he cussed. We drive silently for a while, no one was talking. My mind was on freeing my brother and nothing else. They had asked for the Rubik’s cube and the necklace in exchange for him. I have nothing to lose if I hand them over to them. They said they are calling in the next two hours to tell me where to meet them and I must come alone and tell no one. That’s exactly what I am going to do, not even Sebastian would stop me from this.“Don’t worry. I will get your brother back to you with no harm done to him,” Sebastian had assur
Mr. Edwards noticed the look on Lucas’ face. “What is it?” Mr. Edwards asked curiously.“The Rubik’s cube is gone! Yet my office did not look like it was mobbed when I got in this morning! So how did he gain entrance in?”“He played you by using Ace as a distraction to get in,” Jack said. With the Rubik’s cube in hand of Sebastian, Lucas and his grandfather knew that the Halloways Company is bound to fall, just like Leo took out other companies if nothing is done.“Involving police and asking me to standby last night was the biggest mistake you made, Mr. Edwards,” Jack said. “I have my boy, trailing both Sebastian and Debby since they met at the Wreakin’ club. I am the only one that knows how he operates. I would have gotten him last night if I was allowed but you said you don’t trust me.”M
The next morning at the police station, Ace is sitting in the interrogation room. Shortly, Officer Steve walked into the room with a folder and dropped it on the table in front of Ace.“I thought you were the good guy until you started killing innocent people,” Officer Steve said as he sat opposite Ace.Ace chuckled. “You got the wrong guy!” Ace said.Officer Steve looked at him for a while then said, “The records in front of you said otherwise.”“Your records might be correct. But they are not talking about me, they are talking about Leo, and I am not Leo.”“So who are you?”“I am Ace! A-C-E! in case you can’t spell it.”“The information that reached us last night said that Leo was invading the Halloways Hospital. If you are not Leo, then what are you doi
As I wanted to leave the room, my eyes fell on a Rubik’s cube set on a sizable fridge in the corner. “I have seen something like that,” I thought. I tried to remember where and when but I could not so I decided to forget about it and leave. But as I made to go out, my mind was still on the Rubik’s cube. It was as if there was a rope tied to me from the Rubik’s cube, making my going out without dragging it along impossible. So I decided to carry it along.Just as I stepped out of the room to go, I felt a piece of metal touch my head. As I turned, there was Joan with a gun. She moved backward to leave some space between us.“What are you doing with a gun, Joan?”“Nothing. I just want that Rubik’s cube.”“And why should I give it to you?”“Because I have a gun. If you don’t give
When Sebastian initially approached the building, there was no sign of policemen around, not even the hospital security. Not seeing any security in sight only meant one thing to him; they cleared everywhere just to lure him into the building easily, so they could lock down the building and hem him in. But he was not going to make it that easy for them.“This is going to be tougher than I thought.”That was why he changed his plan and decided to create some panic by going behind the building to the powerhouse to knock out the power source. But just when he turned to go, a bright halogen light flashed at him, and every darkness that hid him before left!“Shit! I just caught made before I even started,” Sebastian muttered.“Oh! It’s you!” Ace said and turned off the torch.“Ace what are you doing?”
Sebastian and Debby kept arguing without making any progress. She was determined to go.“You don’t have to be worried about my safety,” Sebastian said. “Jack and Ace are going with me. I already notified them. So you just rest right here.”“If you are going down, I want to be there to go down with you. I’m ready to take this risk.”Debby felt it was a risk worth taking, besides she has cancer anyway. Dying from a bullet or getting caught is better than dying slowly of cancer.“Even if you stop me from going with you, I will still come after you. I love you too much to let you walk right into the danger zone all alone,” Debby persisted.“You are so stubborn,” Sebastian taunted her.“Oh yeah!” Debby chuckled and put her arm on his neck then continued, “A trait I picked up
