Howls can be heard throughout the forest. A woman races through the trees, running for her life, but she doesn’t seem to know which direction will bring her to safety. She’s been in the woods all her life but the adrenaline, fear, and anxiety have caused her to forget everything and just run. Fight or flight in hyperdrive as she runs faster than she has in years. Kade’s POV- I went to the meeting with the few warriors that were allowed, and like the others I was appalled to hear that an abused woman was running on her own to get away from whoever it was that did that to her. I had my own suspicions once I heard the direction that she was coming from. It made sense since everything else out of the ordinary was coming from that way too. Once the meeting started getting into the politics of the treaty and how to handle the hunters I kind of started to zone out a bit. I hate politics and drama.
