The Chosen Luna Queen

I shivered lightly when I felt his warm thumb brush over my cheek sparks igniting.

My mind was telling me to run far away and not look back, but my body was rooted in spot wanting more of his touch.

"Please." I said breathless my hands instinctively touching his eight packed chest while he kissed my neck, my entire body responding to his touch.

"Please what, hmm?" He whispered back then kissed me on the lips. I wrapped my hands around his neck pulling him closer enjoying the kiss that made a million butterflies in my stomach fly at the same time.

I sat up pushing my long brown hair back while cold freezing water dripped from my chin and my hair.

My nightdress hugged my body like a second skin and since it was a thin material, it perfectly showed everythin! 

I looked at at my mom and she had the worst glare on her, with one hand on her hip while the other was holding an empty bucket.

I hugged myself lowering my head looking at my wet bed and Wondering what I did wrong for her to pour water or me, or maybe she just woke up on the wrong side of bed and decided it was a good idea to wake me up so rudely. 

It's possible because ever since dad went on a business trip two months ago, she been nothing but a bitter pill to swallow, well she's always been bitter but her bitterness has increased ten fold since dad's departure. 

"Who do you think you are having wet dreams in my house and  screaming a man's name you little h*e!!" She yelled making me flinch and embarrassed at the same time.

So that's why I'm drenched. 

I can't believe I was actually having such a dream, I don't even have a boyfriend to be fantasising about like that and here I was having such? not cool Victoria not cool.

"DO YOU HOEING SOMEWHERE ELSE AND NOT IN  MY HOUSE, YOU GOT THAT! Now go get changed and do your chores I want everything done and my breakfast made in an HOUR!!" She yelled and I flinched again.

"Yes ma'am." I said low enough so that she doesn't think I am being rebellious and talking back at her.

It was the thing about my mom, foster mom, she and dad David adopted me when I was just a little baby and I have no idea who my real parents are.

They made it so clear to me that I was adopted ever since I was a kid, I sometimes even wondered why they didn't just leave me at the orphanage if they despised me this much but luckily mom only ever hit me once five years ago and she is kind enough to let me go to school and get whatever I want, scratch that not everything I want only the necessary things that she feels I should have.

"These little hoes trying to make my house a brothel for ghost!" she muttered leaving my room and closing the door with a bang.

Luckily today was a Saturday which meant no school.

I removed the wet blanket and sheets from my bed and luckily the mattress wasn't wet so no need of drying it out.

I put them in the washing machine then went straight to my bathroom and took a quick morning shower. Once I was done,

I looked myself in the mirror and even though I wasn't that curvy like other seventeen year old high schoolers out there, I atleast had a little curves here and there though I wasn't confident about my body. I didn't want anyone to see so I prefered wearing loose pants that hid everything.. 

I wore some warm clothes and once I heard the washing timer go off, I removed the blankets from the washer and put them in the dryer then  proceeded to clean the kitchen and prepare breakfast for maleficent, I mean mom. 

An hour later, I was done with breakfast preparations and the table was already set with maleficent's favourite breakfast. 

I heard the upstairs door open and saw her gracefully came down the stairs with baby Lily in her arms. 

Lily was only nine months old. She was mom and dad's first and only kid. They had been married for twenty years now since they were both teens and only decided to have their own kid last year. I don't know what they were waiting for all this time but oh well it's not my place to judge. 

"Vivi," lily lifted up her hands towards me once they were both in the dining room and without sparing me a glance, mom handed lily to me and sat down dishing herself some breakfast.

I set lily down on her seat and dished some breakfast for her but before I could start feeding her,

"Leave it,"  maleficent, I mean mom spoke in a dismissive manner,

I did as told and stood a distance away looking at her take the first bite of the meal and luckily she didn't throw a tantrum about the food being bad which gave me an opportunity to go back to the kitchen and have my breakfast.

"Victoria!" I heard her call my name and all the colour drained from my face, did I perhaps anger maleficent??

Oh someone save me!!

"Coming mother!" I left everything I was doing running into the dinning room.

"You called mom." I said my head lowered, not meeting her gaze.

"Yes, here is a list of things I want you to get at the mall for me." She said handing me a list and a hundred dollar note. "Don't come back home until every item on that list is bought, you got that!" she sternly said.

"Yes mother." I responded, taking the list and the money from her

She looked at me one more time while I held my breath waiting for her to spit fire on me and push me down to the depth of a burning infernal but

"Don't you dare h*e around in my house again okay? and clean this up!" She was about to leave but stopped. "And also You better come back home early and make me lunch." With that she took lily and left the dining room.

Phew! I let out the breath I was holding. I looked at the items I was going to buy and they all amounted to 100 dollars exactly.

'Dang it this woman is so cheap, can't she even spare me some cab money? I mean the mall is like an hour walk from home!' I inwardly muttered to myself while looking as she disappeared up the stairs.

I sighed clearing the table and doing the dishes. I can't wait to turn eighteen, that way I can find a job somewhere and finally move out of this house.

Once I was done, I got ready grabbed my small purse and was on my way to the mall.

While walking by without focusing on my surroundings,

"Aah!" I slipped on a puddle of mud about to fall face flat when suddenly I was caught by warm strong hands that sent sparks everywhere they touched.

I looked at the man who held me and my brain instantly filled up with fog, my mouth instantly going dry.
