Lurking in this thread to see if anyone has a magic solution I haven't tried yet. My current setup is a mess of browser bookmarks and half-remembered forum posts.

I'm not familiar with that specific title, but for a lot of Asian web novels, the 'WebToon' or 'Manta' model hasn't really caught up yet. They're still largely text-based and spread across independent translator sites. It's a different ecosystem from, say, Korean webtoons which are neatly packaged in apps. The barrier to entry is higher, which is a shame because some of the stories are incredible. You just have to be willing to dig through the internet's back alleys to read them.

I keep a list in my phone's notes app: 'Novels to Read.' Under each title, I paste the direct URL to the last chapter I finished. It's low-tech, but it means I never lose my place. When I want to read, I open the note, tap the link, and I'm right where I left off. It's not automated, but it's foolproof and works for any website on any device. For a series like 'Infaa Alocious' that might move between sites, this method is flexible enough to handle the chaos.

All this talk makes me appreciate official licensing deals so much more. When a series gets picked up by Seven Seas or Yen Press, suddenly it's just a click away on Kindle or Kobo. You pay a few bucks, but you get reliability and quality. For 'Infaa Alocious,' we're not there yet. So we trade money for time and frustration, scouring the web for free translations. It's a choice, I guess. Sometimes I wonder if my time spent hunting is worth more than the cost of just buying an official version, if one existed.

I just wait for fan-made PDF compilations to hit certain forums. Then I download the whole thing and use Google Drive's PDF viewer on my phone. It syncs my progress across devices, which is nice. It's a passive way to read—you can't follow along week-to-week. But for a completed translation or a huge batch of chapters, it's the most low-friction method. No apps to install, no accounts to make, just open Drive and read. The hard part is finding a complete, well-formatted PDF in the first place.

Has anyone actually seen an official English translation? I remember the fan translations were huge years ago, but I have no idea if a publisher ever picked it up.
It's one of those series that feels like it's in licensing limbo—super popular in certain circles but no clear legal way to read it in English. Super frustrating for collectors.
Look for curated sites that specialize in 'light novel' or 'web novel' aggregates with quality control. Sites like 'NovelUpdates' don't host content but act as a directory. They link to translation groups' own websites, which are usually cleaner and more respectful of the work than the scrapers. You can see user ratings, reviews, and tags for each series, including Infaa Alocious.
They also track translation progress, so you'll know if a project is ongoing, stalled, or complete. This prevents the heartbreak of getting 80% through a story only to find the last few chapters were never translated. It's a planning tool as much as a discovery tool. Bookmark the series page and check it periodically for new links.
Huh. I just searched my local library's OverDrive and found nothing. Maybe it's a US thing?
The regional differences in digital lending are wild. Something available in one county's system is completely absent in the next.
Have you checked Scribble Hub? I don't think they host official licenses, but sometimes authors publish their original English works there. Wait, 'Infaa Alocious' is a translation, right? Then never mind. For official translations, you really need to look at the bigger commercial platforms, not community writing sites.
Ever consider that the title might be part of a series with a different series name? I've searched for 'Book 3 of The Stormlight Archive' and gotten nowhere because I needed to search for 'Oathbringer'. Maybe 'Infaa Alocious' is a subtitle or a character arc name. Find the overarching series title and search for that. Once you're in the series page on the app, you can see all the installments. This has saved me so much frustration when I only remember the catchy subtitle and not the main series name.
Sometimes the free version is the original web serial, which is longer and rougher than the edited, published novel. Some fans prefer that version for its raw, unpolished feel and extra subplots that got cut for pacing. That might be worth hunting for in archives.
The obsession with this novel is real in my Discord. Someone just dropped a Google Drive link yesterday that had a PDF of the first four chapters, sourced from a now-defunct promo site. It's still floating around if you dig through fan threads. Not sure how legal it is, but it's out there.
The number is less important than knowing where to find the good stuff. The first two novels are on Royal Road. The next two moved to a subscription platform. The fifth one is back on a free site. It's a mess! Just use an aggregator site that tracks updates across platforms; it'll show you all the titles and where they're hosted.
