Honestly, I think people sleep on the quieter moments. The big, defiant speeches are iconic, but the loyalty is baked into the smaller lines. Like in 'Order of the Phoenix,' when Harry's being possessed by Voldemort and Neville just says, 'We're all going to keep fighting, Harry. You know that?' It's not a vow to die for him; it's a statement of shared, stubborn persistence. That's a different, more mature kind of loyalty.
Or Hermione erasing her parents' memories. She doesn't give a speech about it; we just find out. The action is the quote, in a way. Those choices speak louder than any 'till the very end' declaration, though that one's obviously great too.

The one about 'happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light' is Dumbledore's, right? While that's hopeful, it's not specifically about friendship to me. The core friendship quote for the trio has to be from 'The Philosopher's Stone' when Ron says, 'If you want to kill Harry, you'll have to kill us too!' to McGonagall's chess piece. It's their first real test, and it's so blunt and physical. No fancy magic, just a kid standing in front of a queen.
Later quotes get more poetic, but that raw, immediate loyalty before they've even fully processed the danger always hits harder. It sets the template. Hermione's 'I'll go with you' in 'Deathly Hallows' carries the same weight, but it's quieter, a choice made after years. The first one is all instinct, and that's what makes it pure.

For me, it's Sirius's 'The world isn't split into good people and Death Eaters.' Said to Harry, but it's rooted in his lifelong bond with James—seeing the complexity in people. That line frames loyalty not as blind allegiance, but as seeing and accepting a person's whole flawed self. It's the philosophical bedrock their friendships are built on, more than any battle cry.

Fates... How much do you believe in Fates?
Centuries ago, a prophecy was told. In time, bits of pieces were lost. The remaining was preserved but it left many questions:
"Every period of time comes forth the Archnemesis.
The night will fall like the snow in winter season
and the day will come like a flower that blooms in springtime.
War shall cause the lives of many and the weak shall suffer.
But lo, and behold, in a family of winter shall come the Blood Star of every generation.
Strength and might that shall spill the blood of its Adversary by the death with its soul."
Chloe Liu just wanted to become a fully pledged Kryst, a soldier of the Kingdom of Demetrius.
Lucian Liu and the members of the Seven Geniuses just wanted to protect his sister.
Prince Ciaran, the Særi ust Trūx (Future King), just wanted to protect the Kingdom of Demetrius along with his friends.
What if the Fates wanted more?
Ambition, love, manipulation, and power. The 27th Blood Star Bellatrix has to get through to the end. But will Bellatrix be able to turn the water to blood?
I met my mate, Alpha Draven, at the bonding ceremony of our classmate Raven—seven years after I rejected him.
But everything had changed.
He was still handsome and prestigious, with his beautiful mate clinging to his side.
And me?
I stood there in an old-fashioned uniform, black-rimmed glasses perched on my nose—
a relic from another world.
Yes. We were from two completely different worlds now.
In the middle of the ceremony, I overheard some werewolves whispering and laughing.
"Draven, have you finally moved on from her rejection? It's been seven years, after all."
His smile faded.
"Honestly, I didn't even recognize her at first glance today."
Their words struck me like claws to the heart.
I couldn't breathe.
So I left—quietly, halfway through the ceremony—before the pain could completely devour me.
When the Golden boy rejects Hermione for the Queen Bee; her cousin, the whole realm becomes set to experience a new emergence.
"You!" I yell, pushing his shoulder. A small smile played on his lips, as he drinks in the sight of my drenched hair and dress.
"Eyes here! You don't..." His lips suddenly clasp over mine, as his right hand comes to hold my hair gently. My eyes were out in shock. I try to push him... his tongue teasing and seeking... My whole being betrays as my eyes close in surrender…
I kiss him back passionately, caressing his soft hair... A bright light shines above us when I suddenly unlatch my shaky lips to catch my breath. The full moon.
"Magnificent, huh?" He asks, taking a look at the sky. I shakily nod. I was very much speechless.
My eyes saunter back to his swollen lips...
"My Prince!" Some royal guards call, running to the pool.

A short story by QUEENEBUNOLUWA15.
Emmeline Gray's fate was sealed. Her father, Lord Gray, had betrayed the Lunar Council, and now she had to pay the price. The Council had condemned her to serve the ruthless Rogue King, Cedric Silver.
As Emmeline entered the dark castle, she felt trapped. The air reeked of malice, and Cedric's piercing gaze cut through her like a knife.
"Speak out of turn, and you're dead," Cedric warned, his voice low and menacing. His eyes seemed to bore into her soul, and Emmeline felt a shiver run down her spine.
"You'll submit, Emmeline," Cedric continued, his voice dripping with an undercurrent of desire. "Your father's sins won't be forgiven, but maybe you can earn redemption."
Emmeline's heart pounded in her chest as their gazes met. She recognized the unmistakable spark – Cedric Silver, the feared Rogue King, was her mate.
Cedric's eyes seemed to burn with an inner fire as he took a step closer to her. "You're mine now, Emmeline," he whispered, his breath hot against her skin. "And I always claim what's mine."
Emmeline's pulse quickened as she felt the weight of Cedric's gaze. She knew she should be afraid, but a part of her was drawn to the darkness that lurked within him.
Tied to the man who embodied her family's destruction, Emmeline's life was now a twisted dance between loyalty, survival, and her own heart. Would she find redemption, or would darkness consume her?
Because my jealousy endangered his childhood sweetheart, my Alpha mate, Victor, took our son's advice. He sent me to the pack witch to have my memories erased.
A long winter later, he woke me with the antidote.
In the eyes of the pack, I became the perfect Luna.
I organized the pack's winter stores flawlessly. I cataloged every last berry and pound of meat without breaking a sweat. I could even smile while delivering a blanket to Clara, Victor's precious sweetheart.
But my Alpha and my pup, Rio, knew. I had changed.
I no longer remembered how to soothe him on full moon nights, combing through his fur as he writhed in pain.
When Rio fell in the snow and wailed, I calmly called for his nanny.
Even when Victor returned late from a hunt, I offered only a cool nod. I never once reached for him through our mind-link.
At first, he thought it was revenge. He didn't care.
Until the night of the blizzard, when he and Rio followed me to the abandoned church.
Through the thin wood of the confessional, they heard my whisper.
"Moon Goddess, what do I do when the memories are back but the love isn't?"
"The witch gave me back what happened, but when I look at my Alpha and my pup... they're strangers to me."
"I feel so tense and awkward just being in the same room. What am I supposed to do?"
Outside, the man and the boy just froze.
They finally understood. Some things, once broken, can never be fixed.
Fred and George. Their entire dynamic is a quote on loyal friendship. They operate as a unit. When they ditch school in 'The Order of the Phoenix,' they say, 'Give her hell from us, Peeves!' Their loyalty isn't to the institution but to their brother Harry and the cause of messing with Umbridge.
Their joint rebellion is an act of solidarity. The inspiration is in their seamless partnership; they are loyal to each other first, which allows them to be loyal to others. It shows that sometimes the strongest external loyalty is built on an unbreakable internal bond.
One of my all-time favorite quotes from 'Harry Potter' about friendship has to be when Dumbledore says, 'It takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to our enemies, but just as much to stand up to our friends.' That line hit me hard because it’s not just about fighting dark wizards—it’s about having the courage to call out your friends when they’re wrong. The books are full of moments where loyalty is tested, like when Ron leaves during the Horcrux hunt, but his return is even more powerful. Hermione’s unwavering support for Harry, even when he’s being reckless, also shows how deep their bond goes.
Then there’s love. Lily’s sacrifice for Harry is the backbone of the whole series, but I also adore Molly Weasley’s fierce protectiveness: 'Not my daughter, you bitch!' It’s raw and real. And who could forget Snape’s 'Always'? It’s heartbreaking because it shows love isn’t always pretty—it can be messy and painful, but it endures. These quotes remind me why the series resonates so deeply; it’s not just magic, it’s heart.
