No word on the Moss book yet, so I remain in suspense until that is published. In the meantime, I have found another series ender, 'The Price of Peace: Book 3 In The No More Regrets Series'. This was a trilogy so you could read the whole thing for a complete arc before I got stuck between big releases. The series follows a single character through the conflict of his politics and magic, and I was very impressed with how he finally sorted out both of those, in a satisfying way.

As a close follower of Rebecca Mix and her writing, I am also very interested in hearing any rumors about ‘Moss: Book 3’. The first two books of ‘Moss’ were absolutely amazing and full of action, magic, and wonderful characters. I have noticed that Rebecca is always active on social media, and hopefully she will post an update on ‘Moss: Book 3’ soon.

In the meantime I have been starting to read other fantasy series. One of them has a similar style and setting to “Moss” – “The Priory of the Orange Tree”. The other is set in a fantasy Middle East and is also really good – “The City of Brass”. I am also listed on the “Moss” fan communities on Discord and on Reddit, so if you are as impatient as me, you can join in there to find out more about other fans and share updates and theories.

As a reader of the first two books by author Rebecca Mix, I am also interested in the third book “Moss: Book 3” and believe that it will be released late 2024 or early 2025. I know that Mix creates wonderful characters as well as an amazing world and I know that the final book will be amazing. Until then I will continue to re-read the first two books by Mix as well as read through other series such as “The Witch’s Heart” by Freya Barker in order to help pass the time.

I am 100% just as excited for “Moss: Book 3” as you are. Rebecca Mix has done an amazing job at creating a world and characters in this series that I would love to see come to a close in an ideal way. As of right now there is no set release date for Book 3, but from what I gathered from Rebecca Mix’s interview with Fansided, she is in the editing process for right now which typically means that it is at least a year or so away from release.

In the meantime, I’ve been devouring other queer fantasy novels. Like The Cemetery Boys by Hannah Whitall and The Unbroken by Alexa Shankland. Both of these novels capture the same heart and creativity that I love about Moss. And I’ve also been following Rebecca Mix on Patreon where she occasionally posts up sneak peeks as well as insights into her process. I’m really hoping we’ll get a release date for Moss: Book 3 by the end of the year.

Fans have been obsessing over this mysterious, moss-covered dagger sketch posted by the illustrator on his ArtStation account SIX MONTHS AGO (with no caption). Is it the cover art for Book 3? Is this a crucial plot-point that we’ve not been told about yet? Or is it simply another very cool dagger the artist wanted to draw and share with the world?

The little morsels that fans can interpret as they will keep the community’s flame of hope burning. Every like on a post, every new follow, every enigmatic word or two from someone connected to the book is studied by the fans as though it were a chapter from a new novel. And when the final piece is revealed, it is certain to clarify all of these ‘pointer’ clues or alternatively expose how much misinterpretation occurred due to a single randomly created dagger for example.

When will warformed book 3 be released by the publisher?

So what DO we want from book 3? Can we get some detail on the plot? Do we finally get to leave Earth with Rei? How does the war with the Archons actually play out? I hope we don’t get bogged down in too much interstellar politics. The strength of the first book was the tight focus on the academy and Rei’s growth as a character. I hope that isn’t lost in an attempt to expand the universe for the third book. I want book 3 ASAP, but I want it to be right. And that takes time. A rushed attempt to expand the universe could be worse than taking a long time to get it right. Just my two cents though.

When will dark star trilogy book 3 be released?

I’ve been scouring every interview and social media post for clues about the release of Book 3. The author, Marlon James, has been pretty tight-lipped, but based on the gaps between the first two books, I’d speculate late 2024 or early 2025. The second book, 'Moon Witch, Spider King,' dropped in 2022, and given the epic scale of this series, it’s understandable why the wait might be longer. Fans like me are hyped because the trilogy blends African mythology with gritty fantasy, and each book feels like a cinematic experience. James isn’t the type to rush perfection—his world-building is meticulous. If you’re new to the series, now’s the perfect time to dive into 'Black Leopard, Red Wolf' and its sequel. Trust me, the payoff will be worth it. In the meantime, I’m rereading and dissecting every detail to tide me over.

When will books you pre-ordered be released?

10 Answers2026-07-29
I’ve forgotten that I even pre-ordered something half the time. It’s a nice surprise from my past self. The occasional charge to my card or delivery notification and I’m confused for a moment and then I remember “Oh yeah, that book I was buying 6 months ago!”. It’s a nice little treat and something I don’t worry about in terms of the release date. It’ll get here when it gets here. I don’t follow any of the obsessive fan forums on the web where people are counting down the minutes. If you’re deep in a fandom then you’ll find it impossible to forget that you’ve pre-ordered a novel, but if you’re only buying standalone novels then this approach is blissfully ignorant.

When will monk and robot book 3 release worldwide?

This is great. A little digital campfire for us to share our anxieties and love for the book. As for the release date, I don't have any concrete news to add, but solidarity from someone who's also been waiting. I hope it's a great day for solarpunk and hopepunk fans everywhere. In the meantime, are there any other books we could recommend to each other that have a similar feeling? The Mountain in the Sea has some of that, but it's a much darker book.

Why is Patrick Rothfuss delaying the 3 book release?

Comparing me to Scott Lynch, who is also struggling to announce a release date for the next Gentleman Bastard book and has been open to his struggles with mental health as well, makes sense because I am another deeply detailed, character-driven fantasy writer. The depth of our work seems to come at the cost of a brutal, and largely unpredictable, work schedule.

When does inheritance series book 5 release in paperback?

8 Answers2025-09-06
A rumor has been circulating on the book subreddit that some retailers (particularly small online shops) might ship street date books a few days early. I would caution against counting on this, as it's far from confirmed. For now, the official street date is the only date we can safely rely upon to pre-order books in time.

When will mother's warmth chapter 3 be officially released?

Gahd I’m dying over here! Just that last panel of all that rainy gray, and the letter... I’ve been staring at this so hard I’m starting to read it now. Artist is having ME PANIC (again). I checked the author's Twitter but everything is in Korean and horrible machine translated. Apparently another 2 weeks based on normal gap between chapters is what some of the fans are saying. We just have to be patient I guess and support the creator.

Is there a third book after 'House of Sky and Breath'?

8 Answers2025-06-25
I just finished House of Flame and Shadow by Sarah J Maas and I am just blown away by how she recontextualized the entire first two books. I mean I had totally forgotten some of the little details that were just thrown in of no importance in Earth and Blood and Blood and Sand, but all of them become super super important in this book. So if you read the first two books then you should totally read them again before jumping into the third. I know it’s a lot to ask for, but it really does reward a series reread because you can really see the planning and care that Maas put into the world she created right from the beginning. We learn so much more about the Asteri, the Gates, and the history of the Fae worlds. And it all just clicks into place in the most surprising yet inevitable way. The third book definitely makes the first two better than they were before.

When will 'The Thorn of Emberlain' be released?

10 Answers2025-06-19
It's just so typical of a book of this generation that it's going to be delayed, much like 'The Doors of Stone' or 'The Winds of Winter'. Shared misery between fandoms of delayed books is a wonderful thing. Every author is testing our loyalty in some way. I hope Mr. Lynch is doing okay. The creative process is not a vending machine that dispenses words when you put in money. When the words are right, the book will be here. Until then, there are many other amazing stories to get lost in. Don’t put your reading life on hold for one story, no matter how much you love it. As I said, the Gentlemen Bastards books are some of my favorites.
