So I've been playing 'Business of Loving' for a while now, and honestly, the whole cheat code thing is a bit of a mystery. It’s one of those games that feels like it’s designed to be played straight—no shortcuts, just strategy and patience. That said, I’ve seen a few mods floating around for the PC version that tweak in-game values like money or relationship stats. They’re not officially supported, though, and I’d be cautious about using them. The charm of 'Business of Loving' is in its storytelling and choices, so cheating might just ruin the fun. Plus, the devs seem pretty active in patching exploits, so anything you find might not last long.

After many breakups, and makes-ups, and almost getting together, in Season 6, Lucas and Peyton get married and have a daughter, Sawyer. Brooks finds her true love in Julian Baker. After growing so much as a character, she finds someone that truly appreciates her. Her relationship with Lucas was never meant to be and I think that Lucas and Peyton’s tumultuous relationship is one of the things that makes their love so beautiful and messy and painful. And I think it’s something that fans of the show can really relate to.

A Magnificent Departure: The World of ‘Six Feet Under’ lost a unique voice with the passing of Nate Weiss. In so many ways Nate’s departure became the ULTIMATE expression of who he was as a very complicated man – a true Visionary or even a Driftist. His death became another journey into the ‘grief’ that his absence caused – be it quietly despairing with Ruth, numbingly unaware with Claire, or even a rather stoic ‘practical’ approach to grieving with Keith. I am especially still so affected by one particular scene where he is finally given a burial by his family by scattering his ashes to the wind – a scene of utter silence and no music. It’s stayed with me longer than many other ‘dramatic’ death scenes on TV.

I think it’s really funny and quite sweet too. It rewards emotional investment over quick presses of buttons.

Peyton is one of my favorite characters and her departure was so painful to watch. Hilarie Burton brought so much depth to her character and through her performance, I always felt that Peyton was real. She had this tragic past and created amazing playlists for the soundtrack of her life, but ultimately, she was a very complicated girl. The show tried to fill the void left by Peyton in the later seasons with new characters but none of them had her unique brand of vulnerability. Even Brooke’s growth and development in her character was not enough to fill the void left by Peyton. As a result, I never continue to watch past season 6 because everything after that just feels like a spin-off.

Instead, I highly recommend another completed series which does not get enough love: July Found by Chance. It is a webtoon, so pretty pictures and updates when the author posts. This is not an infidelity story, as the cheating romantic partner is beaten senseless by the truly aggrieved love interest. Instead, it is a story about the ultimate betrayal: that of fate and the author of the protagonist’s story. When the protagonist of July Found by Chance realizes that she is a character in a novel, she is horrified to realize that her life and the love she felt to be real were all just a farce, set up by the author in order to create a tragic, even worse, manipulated romance for her. The core of the story is the main female lead trying to search for agency in a story where she is just a pawn in the author's predetermined script. The story is a meta take on the betrayal trope and as a result the earned romance outside of the cheating of the cheating story feels even more authentic. The art is clean and nice to read and I particularly enjoyed how it could express the main character's deep frustration, existential dread, and her unrelenting search for freedom. It's a great cheating romance story that deconstructs the destiny of a forced romance, and stays with you long after the story is over.

Allie was pushed away by the pressure of her family, the instability of Noah, and the turmoil of war. Her parents tried to keep her from Noah because he threatened her future. Noah’s wild ride of a life, of hanging from a ferris wheel for example, scared Allie even as it thrilled her. As the war dragged on Allie felt lonely and turned to Lon for comfort. She did not leave Noah maliciously. She really believed she was doing the right thing. Her later regrets are revealed through her notebook. She was young andmisjudged.

For AAA games, I am somewhat pessimistic after a decade of messing with Cheat Engine. Most of the really cool debug menus with single-player games on PC from the 2000s and earlier were quite simple to discover. Today’s games are written with different engines, many are online-enabled in some way and some even obfuscate their code to prevent cheats. As a result, the time and effort one needs to put into trying to ‘unlock’ something is usually far greater than the payoff, which itself is often a game-crash or a T-posed character in an empty level.
