Is There A Sequel To My Life Next Door?

Fell hard for Samantha & Jase’s story in My Life Next Door and now my heart aches for more. Any continuation in the YA contemporary romance world? Is Fitzpatrick planning another book?

No sequel to ‘My Life Next Door’ has been written by the author. However, an alternative book that explores the ‘interesting neighbor’ concept in a completely different way is ‘The Rogue Next Door’ which I got completely hooked on. A grumpy single dad moves next door to an overly cheerful baker and they get into a chaotic mess of a fight over a misplaced garden gnome, but slowly but surely they fall for each other in a sweet slow-burn romance. The accidental-texting subplot had me giggling out loud.

So, the hunt for a “My Life Next Door” sequel continues. I haven’t found an actual sequel to Samantha and Jase’s story yet, but Huntley Fitzpatrick did write “The Boy Most Likely To” which is set in the same universe. I’m excited to read Tim Mason (Jase’s best friend) and Alice Garrett (one of Samantha’s neighbors) get their story told. While this book is not a direct sequel to “My Life Next Door,” I hope it is just as good.

I loved ‘The Boy Most Likely To’ by Huntley Fitzpatrick because it built on the emotional depth of ‘My Life Next Door’. Tim and Alice are lovable, even if a bit awkward at times, especially Alice. Her sharp wit always made me laugh. Tim’s struggles to come to terms with his new found family were painful at times but in the end, they were worth it. This novel gave me lots of closure when my beloved ‘My Life Next Door’ didn’t get the sequel that I so desperately desired. It was a nice surprise to see the Garrett family pop up occasionally throughout the book, even when they weren’t the main focus.

This book is often described by a fellow book clubber as the “spiritual sequel” to Sayles’ first young adult novel, The Boy Most Likely To. While the themes of family, responsibility, and forgiveness are carried forward in this novel, they are applied to an entirely new set of circumstances. The tone is darker, higher stakes are at play, and while there is a romantic interest, their relationship develops at a slow, aching pace. Overall, I thought the “spiritual sequel” label an apt description of this novel and it has allowed me to appreciate this book on its own terms.

If you’re looking for more books of a similar nature to Fitzpatrick’s work, then the read-alike lists on Goodreads are pure gold! ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’ and ‘Along for the Ride’ by by Jenny Han and Sarah Dessen respectively are excellent choices as are ‘Since You’ve Been Gone’ and the rest of the Monty Leo series by Morgan Matson. Whilst nothing can quite compare to the unique voice of Huntley Fitzpatrick, I hope these recommendations will help to fill the void left by the two connected novels by this incredible author.

Does 'Busty Asian MILF Next Door Is My First Time' have a sequel?

Hopefully the book will get a sequel because I really want to see more of the characters. The author has created such great chemistry between the main characters in this book. As for this book though, I feel like the ending was more of a pause than a conclusion to the story. The author did a great job of mixing the very raunchy scenes with real growth of the characters. I am hoping that there are already drafts for a possible sequel in the works, until then I will just have to go back and re-read some of my favorite parts hoping that the author will take the story in a direction that I imagine such as a time jump or maybe a new character moving in next door and causing fit for the main characters.

What is the twist at the end of the family next door?

I'm still trying to process everything and would really like to have a thread for the epilogue as I've heard there are different editions of this and some of them include an extra chapter or two set years after the main story and others don't. Mine doesn't and I'm actually kind of okay with that. The silence and abrupt ending of our protagonist sitting in her car with the engine off in her driveway was more powerful than any ending or resolution to her story. The twist is what's keeping her trapped in that car in that moment for the rest of her life. Going inside would be a completely different book and probably not as good.

How does 'A Dangerous Deal and the Girl Next Door' end?

I do not remember any specific scenes or even chapters from the book, but I am reminded of a certain feeling or mood that it evoked. The feeling was one of emptiness but it was good. It was like the feeling that one gets after eating a large meal and then sitting around feeling full and satisfied. I do not remember closing the book and lying on my back staring at the ceiling for what seemed like hours, but that is probably what I did. A good ending to a book is often not about the plot but about the mood that it evokes and how long that mood lasts with the reader. Perhaps I should read it again. Does anyone want to do a buddy read with me to help out my poor memory?

Is there a sequel to My Boss My Baby Daddy?

From a purely business standpoint, it would be quite easy for another author to write a sequel to this book. The title is made of pure gold and has generated a lot of interest on social book communities recently. Perhaps there are some right's issues going on or the author of this book has fallen out with their publisher. Or maybe, just maybe, this author is quietly working away on the sequel and then plans to disappear from the face of the earth. In the current market, not milking a successful IP for all it's worth is almost unusual. I shall keep an eye out for it, but for now, I won't be scheduling any reading time around it. The silence is rather deafening.

Are there any sequels to the landlady book?

I also read somewhere that Radcliffe was going to do a sequel from the landlady's point of view but couldn't write it because then she would be too human. He said that he couldn’t give her an internal monologue because then she would be less of a force of nature and less of a monster. There are a few interesting interview clips online where Radcliffe discusses this conundrum.

What is the plot of Dangerous Deal and Girl Next Door?

I stumbled upon 'Dangerous Deal' and 'Girl Next Door' during a binge-reading session last summer, and both left quite an impression. 'Dangerous Deal' is this gritty thriller about a desperate businessman who gets entangled in a shady underworld contract after his company collapses. The tension escalates when he realizes the deal involves more than just money—it’s a life-or-death game with a mysterious syndicate. The moral dilemmas and pulse-pounding twists kept me glued to the pages. 'Girl Next Door,' on the other hand, is a lighter but equally gripping romance-mystery. It follows an ordinary guy whose new neighbor turns out to be hiding a shocking secret—maybe even a double life. The chemistry between them is electric, but the lurking danger adds a layer of suspense. I love how it balances sweet moments with edge-of-your-seat reveals. Both stories are perfect for anyone craving a mix of adrenaline and heart.

Where can I read The Guild Member Next Door online?

I have wondered if this book was available on Scribd, whose eclectic library of ebooks and audiobooks is available by subscription, rather like Netflix for readers. In many cases, the cost of a single Scribd subscription will be less than the cost of individual hardcovers or paperbacks for serious readers following long series. I don’t know if this title is on Scribd, but I would recommend searching for it when an ebook edition becomes available. Scribd and other all-you-can-read services are often worth a look.

Are there any sequels to this one summer book?

5 Answers2025-07-20
Unfortunately, there is no sequel to One Summer. Another very emotional and deep standalone novel is The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks. Another heart-wrenching but beautiful novel about choices and their consequences is The Light Between Oceans by M.L. Stedman.

How does Dangerous Deal and Girl Next Door end?

I get that there are a lot of trope lovers out there, and that endings need to be delivered as trope vehicles. 'Dangerous Deal' is a great delivery of 'Grovel', 'Power Couple' and 'Redeemed Villain Hero'. 'Girl Next Door' is a perfect First Love, Friends to Lovers and Golden Retriever Hero story, and the ending should deliver a great swoon-worthy confession of love. I would imagine both of these novels do a good job of sticking the landing for their respective core tropes (sufficient and satisfying 'Grovel' for Dangerous Deal, and a great 'First Love' confession for Girl Next Door). Based on reviews and chatter throughout the community, I gather that they do in fact deliver satisfactory endings for readers seeking specific tropes, which is probably why each are frequently recommended within their respective tropes. A failed ending would be a failure to deliver on the tropes that were promised.

Are there any sequels to Hole House?

3 Answers2026-01-15
None of the other KittyHorrorShow games are direct sequels, but they do all seem to be part of the same general web of twisted family members. “The Hysterical House of Holes” is a good example of this — it uses some of the same imagery and and makes for a far more surreal experience than straight up horror. But while “Anatomy” does up the ante on the sense of claustrophobia present in the original, I sort of wish there were no official sequels to this game at all. As it stands, the original feels like a very forbidden artifact.
