I have made no progress on this in the meantime and am therefore reading other stories with similar heroes - a clever, hard-pressed character. An example is 'The Billionaire's Stubborn Genius'. It’s the story of a brilliant, broke engineer who has signed herself up to a brilliant but brutal contract with a billionaire tycoon. The tension in this story comes from the heroine having to think up new and clever solutions on the fly in order to be the best she can be and keep herself safe from the evil billionaire’s evil demands.

I’ve been totally living for the rumors of a sequel to ‘Surviving as a Genius on Borrowed Time’. While the book was totally unique and we got our answers in the end (although many, many more questions were opened up!), there are still so many things to explore with the main character’s borrowed time possibly coming to an end in the book. Plus, that ending scene was so mysterious and eerie and I have seen so many fan theories about it, some of which are genius. Right now there is even a thread on Reddit where one of the users thinks the sequel could be exploring parallel timelines.

It will be interesting to see whether the author goes for a straight sequel or a spin-off, featuring a different protagonist. I’d be happy with either option, as the first book was a fantastic combination of brain-twisters and edge-of-your-seat action, and I’ll pre-order the sequel the moment it’s announced. Let’s just hope it’s not too long to wait.

I've also been trying to hunt down some answers about whether or not the book by Dana Lyons, "Surviving as a Genius on Borrowed Time" is going to be a sequel. As most of you know, the end of the book was left pretty open and I've been scouring the author's blog and searching the publisher's website for any updates or clues. It seems like this book has so much more to offer in terms of story and really exploring the idea of genius intellect at such terrible cost. Perhaps a sequel with a new villain or an in-depth examination of the ethics of the protagonist's actions.

Until then, I’ll be rereading the book searching for more clues as to what might have happened next. I wish the author would announce whether or not there would be a sequel tomorrow, that would be fine by me.

The anticipation for a sequel to ‘Surviving as a Genius on Borrowed Time’ is palpable among fans of the first novel and I can see why. The carefully crafted plot developed against the backdrop of high stakes was also extremely emotionally resonant with readers and thus there is much that fans of the book are hoping to get from a sequel. There has been no official word from the author on a sequel as yet but discussions are taking place on various online forums about the possibility. For now, we are left wondering about many of the questions left unanswered by the end of the book, including the unresolved tale of the protagonist’s past and the sinister organization who seemed to pull the strings throughout the story. There is a wealth of material for the author to draw upon to create a highly engaging sequel.

It would be great to get more into the supporting cast, in particular the hero’s mysterious friend that the reader has almost no insight into. Building out the world would be good too – more cities, organizations etc. But alas, we wait patiently for some sort of confirmation, from the author’s Twitter account no less. I will check this every other day or so, until I get some sort of teaser. Good things take time.

Borrowed time isn’t only for genius. What if someone had borrowed time for their charisma or luck? A thematic sequel to explore another aspect of that cosmic deal would be awesome. It’s a completely new story while maintaining the core philosophical questions and setting of the original.

How does 'Surviving as a Genius on Borrowed Time' end?

Someone should write up the visual symbolism of the final chapter of our story here. Rather than recapping the plot, one could focus on how the artist handled the ‘loss of genius’ to our protagonist. As his memories fade, the artwork surrounding him shifts in subtle but telling ways. Lines that were once excessively detailed and hard to the point of being almost grotesque, now are ‘softened.’ Panals that once were overcrowded with hyper-clarity and minute detail to the point of being almost cartoonish are now less crowded. And instead of the technical diagrams for building, he’s shown in simple environments with a focus on the human in front of him. The expression in his eyes, which were always excessively focused in an unnatural way, are now simply tired but peaceful. All of this to say that the ending is good. The artwork sells the moment as being quietly melancholy but hopeful.

That looks and sounds like a pretty intense storyline – way out of my area of expertise, especially considering I mostly read science fiction. This looks like a pretty hardcore action-packed story. I may have to read this one.

Is 'My Brother In-Law' getting a sequel?

You can be hearing a band playing for ‘My Brother In-Law’ sequel everywhere within my fandom circles so far nothing is announced though. What made the show so special in my opinion is that it was so very realistic. None of that typical over-the-top melodrama. Just so very typical for so very many families all over the world conflicts and changes for the better as time passes by. I really really hope they will keep it that way and make the new episodes as great as the first ones. Perhaps after all the drama surrounding the inheritance they could follow the main characters as they are dealing with the aftermath of it all. Or perhaps there is someone new in town? I would be happy to watch a spin-off of “the neighbor’s pastry shop”- that was how good the desserts looked in that place. I will just have to rewatch my favorite scenes until we get some new ones.

Does 'Recursion' have a sequel or planned adaptation?

Just finished the last chapter of Lockwood & Co. and I can confirm that I'm reading exactly the same words as you right now. Miles Cameron seems to have gone quietly back to whatever he was doing before Lockwood, and there's been no mention of a direct sequel (which I rather think was a natural ending for the characters). I gather he writes in different worlds, so he's probably moved on to a new story by now. But (fingers crossed!) maybe he'll drop some hints on his social media. Have you seen any of his interviews recently? Often authors mention things in interviews that aren't mentioned in the later official announcements. So, this is a waiting game, and until he writes another book as fabulous as this one, I'll just have to haunt Cameron's online presence. A sequel would definitely be an instant pre-order for me.

Is Reborn as the Genius Son of the Richest Family completed?

We had acknowledged that the author was dealing with health issues several months ago, and thus a slowdown in the comic was understandable. Now it's been awhile, and getting updates to the story or the ending is starting to feel a bit very inappropriate, given the author's current situation. No, the comic is not complete, and it will be updated when the author can. In the meantime, there are a ton of chapters available to read, or you could always go back and re-read some of your favorites.

Is how a realist hero rebuilt the kingdom getting a season 2?

8 Answers2026-04-28
It was a really unique experience watching it weekly when it first came out. The discussions in the episode threads were half political science seminar, half waifu wars. That was hilarious and very enlightening. A second season would be great to get back that sense of community. We could discuss every policy decision and every character development in detail all over again. This social aspect of watching modern anime is a big part of its enjoyment. People make speculation about the series, make funny memes and even draw fan art. This all happens when the series is still active. Right now the series has a very quiet fandom mainly sustained by readers of the light novel series. Re-igniting that all would be very much appreciated. And that energy in itself can be enough to make a series successful. By staying engaged with the work and talking about it we keep the embers warm, hoping that one day the fire will be stoked again.

Does 'Busty Asian MILF Next Door Is My First Time' have a sequel?

Hopefully the book will get a sequel because I really want to see more of the characters. The author has created such great chemistry between the main characters in this book. As for this book though, I feel like the ending was more of a pause than a conclusion to the story. The author did a great job of mixing the very raunchy scenes with real growth of the characters. I am hoping that there are already drafts for a possible sequel in the works, until then I will just have to go back and re-read some of my favorite parts hoping that the author will take the story in a direction that I imagine such as a time jump or maybe a new character moving in next door and causing fit for the main characters.

Where to read Necromancer Academy's Genius Summoner novel?

7 Answers2026-04-01
Webnovel piracy is a really sensitive topic. There are a lot of arguments about it – people saying they can’t afford the coins, or they live in places where payment to Webnovel isn’t really possible, and then there are people that just despise the predatory nature of microtransactions in general and then there are people that just think stealing is wrong and devalues work. I don’t have any easy answers to this problem. For ‘Necromancer Academy’ the official route to the story is Webnovel. I leave the rest of the options up to you to explore at your leisure – but be aware that there are consequences to your actions and how they affect the overall industry for webnovel storytelling.

What is the release schedule for Magic Academy Genius Blinker?

12 Answers2025-09-08
I stopped trying to keep track of it and just check my library for updates every Sunday. Sometimes there’s a new installment added and sometimes there isn’t. I know that the lack of consistency with updates is a major complaint in the comments for this series, but the story is so good and the pacing is so bad for a reader that I’ve started to read other series that are updated on a regular basis in order to fill the time until the next installment of this one comes out.

Is there a sequel to 'Secret Class'?

9 Answers2025-06-28
I really hope not. I got to enjoy the drama and all the "education" behind the story just like every other reader, but like I said before, the story has reached its end. You don't have to create a franchise with every successful series. That author should use his or her talent for art and storytelling for a new, completely different series with brand new characters. Rehashing the same dynamics of previous characters would get stale very fast. The initial premise of the series was very charming and had a lot of potential in how far it could be stretched. But in the end, there's only so far you can go before you start crossing lines that you don't want to cross. And once you've crossed those lines, where do you go from there? More secrets? More characters? It'd just be another way for the author to try to make some more cash off of the series. And I'm pretty sure most fans would be able to tell when they're being ripped off. Just let it be a very memorable, very controversial, but complete work.
