The Dragons Fire Dancer
Rori squealed and as the light seemed to dim the two laughed so loud it echoed off the walls of the empty bedroom like a sweet song until an almost haunted pounding rocked the thick wood door on its heavy hinges and Rori gasped before falling to Andy’s feet and clutching at the small spectruls phantasmic legs as she trembled.
Andy looked down at Rori and then his head twisted to face the sound assaulting the closed door, he put one smokey hand in the center of her back and waved the other out in front of them, from one side to the other. The door flew open and slammed against the wall before vibrating to stillness as two spectruls entered the room pushing a large tea cart. Rori recognized them from the bath and kitchen yesterday, so she did her best to hide behind Andy as they pushed the cart into the room and rested with their heads tucked tight into their collarbone. Andy started to rub Rori’s back. "S'alright miss...’tis only breakfast callin.” Andy coaxed Rori into standing, but she would not leave Andy’s side. Rori stood, frozen, with her eyes locked on the two statuesque spectruls that
loomed by the door and Andy made an irritated sound in his throat, “Oie! Ye scare the miss...fuck off wit ya,” he yelled, but before the two silent spectruls could move another figure floated into the room.
