Ben One of our contacts in the city is having an issue following orders from us. Kyle and I were with the witch most of the night last night trying to help Jessie and her get the Hex off Daliah, and we weren't able to break it until nearly 3 in the morning. After 3 hours of sleep, we are headed into the city to Moonlight Entertainment. "Benny! How are you? Tony talked to you, ya?" A man, Alfonzo, greets us at the door. Alfonzo is human and a part of the mafia business that Antonio had arranged through Moonlight Entertainment. He is a rare one among us.

Amelia’s POV “I, Alpha Kade of the Bloodmoon Pack, reject you, Amelia White, as my mate, and Luna of the Bloodmoon Pack!” My knees gave way as I fell to the ground; pain as hot as lava ran through my body, leaving me breathless for a few seconds. “I can’t accept a weak, lowly Omega as my mate!” His voice roared as my body shook in pain. I looked up slowly at Alpha Kade’s eyes; his eyes, as green as the forest, held no emotion in them; it made me feel worthless.

AUTUMN: Could I run away for now? Could I hide somewhere else so that I won't be seen? I was not ready for this. Not ready to meet them. I clenched my fist when the door opened, and the former Luna and Alpha stepped out of the car. Alpha Hector and Luna Joy. Nothing had changed in them except for the gray hairs. They were still carrying the power they earned for ruling the pack. Seeing them stole my breath away. Why did they come here when the alpha was not around?

Emily I watched as Gwen started invoking images out of the dark portal, at first it looked like a sentinel gloom, darker than the blackest of nights. The shadows grew more ominous and slowly some of the shadows stopped circling the pillar. A blurred image that was masked by the shadows emerged and it was a wolf. A pitched black-eyed vicious red wolf with its canines protruded jumped out of the portal, bowing before Gwen. I could feel its pulse rising and plummeting, fueled by the gush of darkness radiating within.

I wasn't the type of person to invade someone else's privacy. But my instinct was screaming at me—she is talking to someone in her pack. She might be a spy, for all I knew. Or worse, she was taking off. That was excuse enough. Using my Alpha power, I extended into the bond and killed it. Annie gasped, her head snapping up. Her eyes shot to mine in the darkness. Fury. Confusion. A hint of betrayal. I glared back at her, my face cold. If she had anything to hide. I would discover it.

I remembered the stories I heard of the gruesome ways he eliminates traitors in the pack. The horror stories that spread across the pack came rushing back. Alpha Xavier had once sentenced a traitor to a slow, painful death back when he was just the Alpha's son. The wolf has been torn apart, limb from limb. His carcass was left to rot in the forest as a warning to others. As he stood in front of me, I could feel his Alpha energy radiating from his body. It was so strong that it weakened me. I remained on my knees with my head bent to the earth in submission. I squeezed my eyes shut as I expected the worst.

Zions' look-alike gloats proudly. “You must seriously have a death wish because her brothers, no, her intended will tear you limb from limb once he gets his lethal hands on you.” I hurl out with venom. “Oh, I'm counting on it…" He raises his hand and motions for someone to come forward. “I'm ready for them this time around.” The alien states in a matter of fact tone. “No, please don't. You'll kill her…" Nova cries out in a pleading tone as she struggles against her restraints.
