2024-03-11 15:47:12We soon arrived inside the Silvermoon pack. Mrs. Rosa was pancing and panicking in the room as we walked in. Her eyes landed on me, and she rushed to meet us.
“Don’t you dare run away from here again! Do you hear me?” I nodded my head gently.
Now let’s go meet the Alpha; he has been expecting you. Mrs. Rosa spoke slowly. My heart started to beat against my chest again as we made her go over to him.
We soon arrived in front of a room, and Mrs. Rosa knocked gently two times.
Come in! A deep voice called out from the room. Fear gripped me, and my palms grew sweaty. I robbed time gently against my dress.
Mrs. Rosa walked in, and I followed her closely. The smell of musk filled the room, and it reminded me of Alpha Rozan. I didn’t really want to remember him.
The Alpha eyes landed on me; his son had a striking resemblance to him; they looked so much alike; the only difference was that Alpha Damien was more well built.
“Get her out of my sight; I don’t want to see her today! His deep voice resounded in the room. He sounded so harsh, I wondered what went wrong. Isn’t he the one who paid hugely for me to be his bride? Why was he shunning me away? Confusion washes through me.
“Yes Alpha.” Mrs. Rosa quickly pulled me by the hand as she hurried out of the room. I turned to take a look at him, and he seemed to be engrossed in what he was painting.
We made our way out of the room, and Mrs. Rosa whispered to me. The Alpha doesn’t want to meet anyone today. I would show you the room you will be staying in, and tomorrow you will prepare to meet the Alpha. I wanted to ask her questions about Luther, but I know today isn’t the perfect time.
Luther seems to be around twenty or so. If the Alpha has a son that is around twenty years old, just how old is he?
As Mrs.Rosa ushered me into a room and I walked in, I felt cold, and I suddenly missed my room in the Bloodmoon pack. I missed my plants and the painting Alpha Rozan had hung up on the floor across the room.
This room was lifeless; a huge bed, a large mirror, and a wardrobe were the only furniture in it. Nothing about the room made it seem homely. Mrs. Rosa left after I had settled in. I feel flat against the bed. And as my body touched the bed, I realized just how tired I was.
I wrapped my arms around myself as I recalled the events that had happened earlier today. The betrayal I had experienced cut deep into my heart: being rejected, betrayed by Alpha Rozan, sold off, and forced to be the bride of the cruelest Alpha.
No matter how I thought of it, I couldn’t allow Alpha Damien to be my husband. I couldn’t just bear the thought of being by his side. I don’t know how old he is, but he was much older than me. His son is even older than me.
I couldn’t bear the thought of being with him. A much older man—that was not how I imagined my life to be. I felt so choked up in the room; no matter how many times I turned around the bed, sleep wasn’t coming. Maybe it’s because I was in a new environment or I had a lot on my mind.
I decided to look around the Alpha’s house, as this was my new reality until I run away again. I sprinted out of the room as I made my way across the cold and quiet hallway.
Alpha Damien’s palace is a big mansion, or rather castle; it wasn’t something I had expected, but I still feel it needs a homely touch. Nothing about it made it feel welcoming or like home. It was a full moon today, and the moonlight shines so brightly across the hallway.
I was about to turn back to my room when I heard a thudding sound coming from a distance ahead. I slowly started to advance towards it. A loud growl shocks me as fear grips me. I didn’t know what to expect in the Silvermoon pack. But I still walked towards the sound; I was curious to know what it was.
My eyes landed on the figure ahead, as I saw a wolf transforming into its full form. I had never seen anything like this; the way the body and bones were breaking and rearranging themselves left my mouth hanging in amazement. The red eyes soon landed on me, and frightened creeps in, I start to run to my room.
A hand gripped me, and as I wanted to scream, it covered my mouth. My eyes widened as I tried to see who it was. The moon soon shined on us, and his face came into view.
It was Alpha Luther! My wolf whimpers. It had been awhile since she woke up after leaving me the night of the rejection. His blue eyes were now red, and they glared into mine.
“Mate!” He says it slowly.
Mate? I said slowly, in confusion, that my wolf didn’t recognize him as my mate. So how am I his mate?
