Calla's POV: A WEEK LATER.... The living room was unusually quiet, I sat on the floor with Egi, surrounded by wrapping paper and boxes. A new set of glitter markers. A mini pink wetsuit. A tiny surfboard with dolphins on it. Even a stuffed turtle that squeaked. Egi squealed, holding up her sketchpad. “This is the beach I want to go to! The glow of string lights hangs between bamboo poles planted in the sand. Lanterns with flickering candles are placed around the area, casting a golden hue. A large white blanket, decorated with push cushions in pastel and ocean-inspired colours.
