Begin Again

Begin Again

She watched them now make their way through the room, carefree and in love like they never left her broken and bruised. In the first two weeks post their breakup, she was in numb disbelief and too busy trying to explain to her parents and everyone around her why her intuition was so off the mark about Simon. The worst, though, was calling all hundred guests to let them know it was okay to use their wedding invitations as toilet paper because there wasn't going to be a wedding. She spent the four weeks after, floating between disbelief, crushing sadness, and rage. She went through all the stages of grief in those weeks.

I loved it though I feel like the chapters where they are very happy and in-love are not enough for me because they have so much bickering and hate-love battle royale… I am hoping for an epilogue for a quick pique on their lives as a family of 4 where Riley is also a little older and talking already

Tempting The Bad Boy

Tempting The Bad Boy

I tell him, and he nods, understanding where exactly we're headed. I hadn't visited Pia's grave since the day we buried her, and I realised on the drive out to the cemetery that that had a lot to do with being in denial about her death. Dad often talked to me about the stages of grief, denial, anger, bargaining, depression and finally acceptance. I had convinced myself that I was immune to grief, that I was able to handle Pia's death without following some set path, but in reality, I had in fact passed through all of the stages and was now ready to accept the truth: she was gone.

I love this book and I am very happy that GN shares it with us! Brooklyn is an extremely kind hearted author who always gives attention to her readers' perspective. Her stories are not boring or ordinary. He's a writer who always covers different topics and themes.
GODDESS
OMG...This story is so good I couldn't put it down. It is so well written. And the love between Claire and Andrew absolutely beautiful. The drama was not far fetched and over done. The intimate scenes, I feel could have been better. But I love all the inner circle and the parents. Amazing story

Reclaiming my Fated Alpha

Reclaiming my Fated Alpha

Because Helios is dead. They say that there are five stages to grief; denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance. But never once did they say that the stages can all lump into an avalanche and crash into you, smothering you over and over again until all you can do is suffocate. I feel as if I have been knifed through the heart. There is an urge to scream, to run away, but instead, I close my eyes. My breath goes out of my body and I sink to my knees. I have not even an ounce of energy to move. It hurts to even breathe.

Dear readers, There will be no updates next week as I will be editing the free chapters as well as correcting the grammatical and spelling errors throughout the story. Please bear with me as I work on improving 'Reclaiming my Fated Alpha’ to make the story even more enjoyable for you :)

Definitely one of the better books on here. It’s well written with minimal errors. There were so many climaxes and conflicts that could have easily been made into plots of second and third books. Only thing I disliked was that the MC was mostly weak through out the story especially for being a Beta.

Tangled with the CEO

Tangled with the CEO

It's as if she knows she is leaving. I found out there are stages of grief. 1. Deny- not accepting the truth when it's glaring at your face. 2. Ignore- not thinking about telling the truth. Wishing it would go away. 3. Divert- diverting oneself from grieving And finally, 4. acceptance- embracing the truth. By the time Sunday rolled around I'm in stage 4. The tears I have been controlling for the past couple of days broke from me. It took me 3 hrs from crying my heart out to hiccupping. I slept holding her photo, unable to eat anything.

Island Kisses

I decided to include the stages of grief anyway, at least as a way to relate to my readers who were surely familiar with the concept, even if it was total bogus. Don’t laugh at me, but I actually looked up the six stages of grief. They say that first you're shocked, and then you progress through denial, anger, bargaining, depression and then finally onto acceptance. I think any of us who have had a relationship end because of dishonesty have felt a level of shock, perhaps even denial. Which is a sad thing in the context of a relationship, and it naturally leads to anger.

The Way He Looked at Me

The Way He Looked at Me

Bullshit. There’s nothing linear about grief. No neat ladder. No checkpoint finish line. Only sudden starts and endless loops. The old me never understood this. Never thought about it. Never realized anger could stick to your bones like glue. Denial, bargaining, depression, acceptance they sound tidy, but they aren’t. You don’t graduate. You crash. You spin. You get stuck in one stage for weeks, then binge the rest in an hour. No stages. Only a hurricane. A shitstorm.

THE LUNA'S SECOND DAWN

THE LUNA'S SECOND DAWN

"I don't know. Accepting it? Moving on? People survive rejection." "Some do," Patricia agreed carefully. "But you're not just dealing with rejection. You lost your mate, your child, your pack, your position, your entire life. That's not something you just 'move on' from." "Then what do I do?" "You grieve. You feel it. You let it burn through you until there's space for something else." "I can't feel it." Elena's voice was flat. "When I feel it, I want to die." "Which is why we're doing this in stages. The medication keeps you stable while we work through the trauma. But Elena, you have to work with me. Skipping appointments, refusing to leave your room - that's not working with me."

The Lycan Inheritance

The Lycan Inheritance

We always have. He leans against a chest of drawers. “Your mate is dead.” He says. I nod but something in me still rallies against it. I guess that’s what they mean about the stages of grief, the denial. My head won’t accept it. Won’t accept that the one person made on this earth for me alone is gone, before I even got to meet her. “We have to get going.” I say turning my back, pulling on some jeans and a t-shirt. He grunts, grabbing some of my clothes and it’s a good thing we’re practically the same size so he doesn’t fuck them up the way our other brother Connor does.

A Breakup to End All Breakups

A Breakup to End All Breakups

Later, I told her the truth that I actually disliked both strawberries and cake. She immediately pulled out her phone, wrote it down in her notes, and promised that she would never forget. It had only been a year, and that promise was already gone. The blazing sun burned my skin, but my heart still felt cold. I gave a bitter laugh, walked back in, and announced that the wedding was canceled. Then, in front of everyone, I cut up the wedding suit I had worn 52 times. That was when I finally realized that it was time to end this five-year relationship for good.

The Alpha Rejected His Bride For Me

The Alpha Rejected His Bride For Me

I kept it there too. She cried for a long time. The crying went through several stages, the first one loud and uncontrolled, and then a quieter one that was almost worse because it was more exhausted, the sound of someone who has run out of force but not out of grief, and then a third stage that was mostly breathing, the shuddering irregular breathing that came after, and through all of it I sat on the edge of the bed with my arm around her and my hand on her shoulder and I did not move and I did not speak.
