Giselle placed the bowl carefully on the ground between them and stepped back. “Now, you both will fire into the bowl together” she said, turning toward the dragons. The two great beasts stepped forward in unison. The crimson dragon lowered its head slightly and the black one mirrored the motion. Then they breathed out a controlled fire that met at the center and poured directly into the bowl. The fire burned bright orange but as it touched the blood, it changed into a glowing blue flame that erupted from the bowl with a strange, powerful energy. Elaina’s eyes widened. "Jack!" Felix's voice finally snapped Jack out of his trance. "Let me introduce you. This is my good friend Jack Graham, and this is Luna Starfire." Felix was exasperated.
