He had helped me complete my bucket list and the last year and two months had been amazing. The doctor said I had three hundred and sixty-five days but I had stayed alive for sixty days after that. I wouldn't exchange those sixty days for anything in my life. I had found my people. I got married, I fell in love and I felt love again, from my parents, my friends, and Min. I never had those bef

“Something tells me you’ll dream up horrors I wouldn’t dare.” Our monsters match, I reminded myself. “How many days passed between the first pup and the last?” The question was deliberate—they’d soon learn why. “About five months,” Ortiz muttered. “Exact dates.” My tone left no room for refusal. “First was January 12th. Last was June 27th.” I did the math. “166 days.” A slow smile curled my lips. “Fortunately, the human body has 206 bones.” I tapped my chin, feigning contemplation.

“Buried in your system. She didn’t just poke you. She flipped a switch that was welded into your bones before you were old enough to spell your own name.” A new element bloomed at the corner of Lys’s internal vision, ghosting over the physical displays. A number. Bright, toxic red against the muted backdrop of her HUD. **90 : 00 : 00 : 00** It ticked. **89 : 23 : 59 : 59** “Is that—” “Days, hours, minutes, seconds,” Aria whispered. “It just started. Ninety days. That’s your fuse.” Her skin went cold.

"Hey, buddy. Did you find anything?" "Nine months dude. She will be pregnant for nine months." "Are you serious? Wait, does this mean that I will possibly need to postpone the marking for 9 months." "I am dead serious. Well, 8 months now because she is already been pregnant for a month."

Cami said softly. “Well, we have nine months to prepare for the war,” I said feeling a little better in knowing we had time. “Why nine months?” Julia asked. “Isn’t that how long it will take to deliver a wiccan baby?” I asked Cami. She shook her head, “Not at all. With a baby this powerful it could be four months at most when this baby will be delivered,” she advised us. Fuck.
