If his estimate was wrong, the soldier would draw his sword. He led the mare forward. The first soldier stepped into the road as they approached, hand raised in the universal signal for stop. Kael stopped. The mare stopped. Mira stopped beside them with the expression of someone who had decided that whatever was about to happen, her input would not change it. "Identification," the soldier said. Kael looked at him with the careful attention of someone cataloguing details. Young, twenty-five at most. Competent posture but not veteran competence. The kind of soldier wh

The matter-of-fact soldier stood in front of Myllyof. “We’re just dropping off some supplies and getting a night’s rest.” The soldier did not move but pointed to a sign that said: “Dock tax 50 quinig.” “Oh, I see.” Myllyof turned to the others with a smile. “So where does my tax money go?” The soldier looked a little nervous. His forehead began to sweat. “It…it goes…ugh…to…ugh…to my boss. Yeah, it goes to my boss.” He seemed a bit relieved.

He suggested and I fumed, angry that I lost my grip on him. He noticed my foul mood and started talking again. "I'm a soldier in Nigeria if you don't know. During the Endsars saga, I lost a very good friend and I still thank God that I wasn't around to witnessed all that happened. It was really bloody and I hate bloody events," I chuckled at his fake show of strength. "Soldiers doesn't cower from fights. They fight head on. So if you ran away, then you are a big coward." I told him and he didn't look happy with my analogy.

"You don’t belong here." I raised an eyebrow and put my hands on my hips. "what does that mean?" "You’re not one of the fucking soldiers." "Neither are you." I replied, "Besides, who says I’m not one of the soldiers?" He looked me up and down, "you don’t look like one."

Bingquing turned, "Sister, what is it?" The maid pointed to a soldier who has stabbed a maid in the stomach who was trying to go through the gates. The soldier shouted with his sword dripping with fresh blood. "Long live the new republic." He slashed his blood soaked sword through the air so the blood would splat on the wall in an x shape. The maid shook violently as she watched the soldier saunter away. Bingquing followed his movement with her eyes. "Who is that?" "That's the soldier of sleeping suns. He's an assassin whose known for killing everybody in the h

How could she be so foolish? “Come on, lads. Someone’s wearing a button. I can smell it strong as if I had it under my own collar,” the soldier growled. “It sure is rich,” agreed another. “Yeah, and different. I ain’t ever smelled the likes of it before,” declared a young soldier in need of a hair comb. He drew close to a fellow soldier of equal need of toiletry attention and wrinkled his nose. “Hell, it ain’t you, you, raunchy goat.”

"Here are the best knights and soldiers of the base." The soldiers looked at the Duke and greeted him. They were veterans of the war, the best fighters against the Luriem and the dragon's clans rebellions. If the Duke needed someone strong to fight and chase, he will call them first. After all, they were his comrades and his first soldiers. "Greetings, General," one of the soldiers with five stars in the shoulder advanced. He was wearing a patch on his eye, trying to cover a long scar reaching his lip. "Blake," Liam patted the man's shoulder and nodded, "good to see

One of the soldiers pulled out a secure radio, his voice trembling as he spoke to the High Table. "He’s out," the soldier said, staring at the message on the wall. "And he’s not stopping until everything burns."

“But you sure did. I heard you loud and clear. Perhaps you’re one of the people brewing trouble for we honest folk. My wife just gave birth to a bouncing baby boy last night, but guess what? Instead of being on daddy duties, here I am guarding the realm against invaders, yet one loudmouthed asshole has the balls to mouth things off to my face?” “Come on now, there’s no need for a fight. Congratulations on the birth of your son. Don’t pay any mind to Duncan here.” Sally tried to intervene. “Duncan, is it? Well, you be rest assured. I’ll sure be watching out for you, in case you decide to foment any trouble around here. You look like a troublemaker. As a matter of fact, Sally, what are you doi

Yassi heard a soldier complain to the soldier he was talking to as well. "Don't speak like that. The prince will not let Yeran fall into the hands of the barbarians. And even if the prince is wounded he prefers to fight with us. He will not leave us no matter what happens. And I am ready to die for a person like him who has strong principles and love for the country under his father's rule," replied the soldier he was talking to.
