I said and we moved to the pack's meeting hall. I could see them already seated there, I wondered what they heard, I hoped the warriors didn't tell them she was found at the border, they may start an issue calling her a rogue, but she wasn't one. "Good evening Alpha." One of them said, and I nodded. "Good evening." I told them all and they bowed. "Alpha, we've heard of a new discovery and we want to know if it's true." Another said. "Is that why you made me leave my mate whom I've just found for a meeting?" I asked and they gasped in shock,I gave them the confirmation they needed, Aren just smiled, my warriors were also in the meeting they smiled as well.

I had to lean closer to catch it. Something cold braided through my spine. “Then what is it?” I pressed, breath shallow. “It’s about my discovery.” He said the words like he was naming something alive and dangerous. The air left me. His voice was torn, not annoyed or tired, but raw, like someone who’d seen a wound and couldn’t look away. “What about it?” I demanded. “The investigation into the dark portion led me… to the Witches’ world.” His voice cracked on the last word.

Jennifer replied, the frustration in her voice thick with anger. “It’s okay, Jennifer, it was a long shot anyway, I was not really expecting you to find anything,” I consoled her. “Really?” Jennifer asked with curiosity in her voice. “Why?” “I just found out that our mystery woman is a witch,” I replied. “No fucking way!” Jennifer exclaimed in excitement. “That is so cool! A witch is involved?” I understood her excitement. Witches were like black unicorns. Rare and mysterious. “Apparently, the Alphas stepped on a lot of toes so much that a witch is involved.” I replied.

David gets out from the car right behind me in fear of me running away. I mentally laugh at the thought that how afraid they look being the werewolves as I am a mere witch who didn’t posses any powers yet. “Alpha is waiting eagerly for this chick”, driver chuckles wickedly as my skin gets pricked with goosebumps.
