Beneath The Billionaire's Veil

Beneath The Billionaire's Veil

The faint chirping of birds outside pulled me from my restless sleep. My eyes fluttered open to the soft morning light filtering through the heavy velvet curtains. For a moment, I didn’t recognize where I was. The ceiling above me was too high, the bed too soft, the room too grand. Then it all came rushing back—the wedding, the vows, the suffocating weight of it all. I was in Alexander’s home now. No, not just a home. A mansion. A palace disguised as a house.

Chains Of The Heart

He put it back on the shelf. He pulled another. The Veil is not a place, this one said. It is a space between. Between life and death. Between worlds. Between what is and what could be. To enter the Veil is to leave the self behind. To leave the body, the mind, the soul. To enter is to risk never returning. He set it aside. Another. Blood Magic: Origins and Applications. He opened it.

“You’re fading” He grabbed her wrist. “Don’t waste your energy on me. Just tell me how we end this.” Tears filled her eyes. “There’s only one way.” He stared at her. “No.” “You don’t even know what I’m going to say.” “I can see it in your face.” She looked away. “The Veil was made from sacrifice. Only one soul can close it. That’s the law it was built on.” “Then it’ll be me,” he said immediately.

Ruined by the White Veil

Ruined by the White Veil

"Who knows where Vincent went? Probably found someone new already." I forced myself to focus on the fabric and designs spread before me, but my vision kept blurring. I wanted to believe Vincent hadn't abandoned me, that he truly was just out with friends. But what if he never came back? The door suddenly creaked open. A tall man stood there, his black suit gleaming under the light. I recognized it instantly. It was the one I'd designed for Vincent myself, a one-of-a-kind piece. It looked plain on the outside, but I’d poured my heart into every stitch and detail.

Veil Of A Secret Vow

Veil Of A Secret Vow

Zevarion Vale’s piercing scrutiny lingered as well, a silent acknowledgment that had kindled a spark of intrigue she could not ignore. Elyra knew one thing for certain: the Vale world was a game of observation, strategy, and resilience. And though the path ahead was fraught with hidden danger, subtle manipulation, and complex emotion, she felt an unspoken determination rising within her. She would navigate this world, uncover the truth behind smiles and glances, and perhaps—just perhaps—find herself amidst the shadows of power, intrigue, and unexpected love. Because in the Vale world, where romance intertwined with suspense, and every charm concealed a hidden agenda, Elyra understood that su

The Billionaire's Reluctant Bride

“Veils are moving. Some are protective, some strategic, and others dangerous. Your task is to observe, identify motives, and guide outcomes. Deception can be subtle or blatant. Misjudgment will have consequences. Remember, timing is everything.” I nodded, already analyzing the data streaming across the screens. Veils of deception were never straightforward. They existed in the spaces between words, in pauses, in choices of phrasing, in microexpressions that hinted at truth or concealment. Observing was one thing; interpreting with precision was another, and acting without revealing too much required careful balance.

Veiled Deception

Veiled Deception

Then timing. At exactly 9:00 p.m., Violet left the main floor. At 9:10, two guards swapped shifts. At 9:15, the kitchen lights dimmed. At 9:20, the hallway near the west wing went quiet in a way it didn’t during the day. I was learning the house’s breathing pattern. And when you learn a thing’s breathing pattern, you can learn when it’s vulnerable. That night, I read Katherine again. Not for drama.

“The face. In the Instance, you looked different. Is there an Artifact for that? Does everyone use one?” “The ‘Veil,’” he nodded, picking up a delicate appetizer. “One-time use, three hundred points in the System Shop. Pricey for a newbie—that’s a decent D-grade weapon—but veteran players consider it non-negotiable. You make enemies in there. Real, blood-deep enemies. The Veil ensures the face they want to kill isn’t the one you wear in the real world. Most use fake names, too.” I nodded, absorbing it. Standard operational security. It made sense.

she asked, her voice quieter now, curiosity creeping in. Irene paused just ahead of her, glancing back with a small, knowing smile. “This,” she said, spreading her arms slightly, “is the Veil Garden.” Zayla blinked. “Veil… Garden?” Irene nodded, her eyes glinting. “A place where illusions bloom, and reality gets a little… confused.” Zayla’s brows pulled together. “That doesn’t sound safe.” Irene shrugged lightly. “It’s not. That’s what makes it fun.”

I believe I’m about halfway through. This story is amazing, and definitely deserves a lot more notice. I see it’s completed and genuinely hope it is and you didn’t just stop updating it. The characters are great, the back stories to them especially Asher is amazing. Definitely recommend this book!

Hey Readers! I’ve poured my heart into about 80 chapters, yet not a single review. How am I supposed to know if the story is good, worth continuing, or if you’re dropping it halfway? Your feedback motivates me and keeps this story alive. No reviews soon, I’ll take a break and hold back new chapters.

The Twins He Never Knew

The Twins He Never Knew

The Violet Veil In the village above, the Salt-Bloods and Bloom-Kin watched in awe as the invisible Aegis shroud suddenly ignited. A dome of violet fire erupted over the island, stretching miles into the sky. It wasn't a solid wall; it was a shimmering, liquid lattice of energy that pulsed in time with the Weaver’s frantic heartbeat. The ships of the blockade—the Consolidators—immediately opened fire. Kinetic slugs slammed into the violet veil, but instead of shattering it, they were absorbed. The resonance of the "Tuning Fork" caught the slugs, vibrating them until they turned into harmless dust that drifted down like snow onto the harbor.
