I Killed An Academy Player Chapter 1 Novels & Stories

Keira chanted to herself, moments before her cool trigger finger squeezed, releasing the bullet of her first kill from her gun. The Eye of Imperium looked different today, tainted by bodies and blood. How many times had Keira walked through those doors with her head held high? Now as her brothers and sisters in arms fought for different ideals, pumped lead into each other and pierced skin like they were strangers, every bit of her questioned how she was still standing. As she watched the life leave the king of murder's eyes, an almost angelic smile graced his face when he realized who had been his undoing.

The rage in the room matches Eldora’s; it thickens, hot and dangerous. “I will kill him.” Elio says it like a promise and a verdict. I don’t need to question if he means it. - The next day, the Academy declares a break to investigate the occurrences of that night. Luckily for the trained staff and students, the casualties were no more than fifteen. However, also unfortunately, it was up to that amount. Promising students and staff lost their lives causing an uproar in parents and authorities who are calling out the Academy for its negligence towards the first threat at the Alpha games.

[END OF CHAPTER 8] Next Chapter Teaser: I walk back into the academy with blood on my hands and a crown in my heart. But the three Apex Alphas are waiting for me in the main hall. They saw the Alpha of Silvermoon leave the library, wounded and broken. And now, they want to know exactly what happened in the dark. The interrogation begins—and secrets are about to bleed.

"Didn't think to look for betrayal from within. Didn't think someone would choose revenge over redemption." Through the window, I saw smoke rising from various parts of the academy. Saw students fighting the trapped Old Court soldiers. Saw the damage from the brief invasion. And through the bloodline, I felt them. The three vampires I'd killed. Their absence like holes in a tapestry. Their families feeling the loss through the connection. "We need to secure the academy," I said. My voice was mechanical. "Clear out the remaining invaders. Tend to the wounded. Figure out what information Thorne gave the Old Court and how to counter it."

Trigger Warning: The chapter contains scenes of violence and sexual abuse. The vampire leader carried me to a car and put me in the trunk. He duct taped my mouth before closing me in. Once I am alone in the dark, I let the tears fall. I have no idea what I’m going to do, but I know no one is coming to help me. My parents, my heart aches as I think them, Alessia howling mournfully in my head. My parents are dead. The only person that knows about me is Jude, and if my previous pack finds my parents, they will assume that I am dead as well.

“Relax, sweetheart. Name’s Nova. You were out cold for almost an hour. Thought you weren’t gonna make it.” I sat up fast, head spinning. “Where the hell am I? What is this place?” Nova raised a brow. “You really don’t remember anything, huh?” I frowned. “Last thing I remember, I got pushed off a fucking cliff. You telling me I’m not dead?” That made a few boys nearby glance at me. One of them snorted. “We all thought that, dude.” Nova sighed, crouching beside me. “Welcome to Zone 1 , darling. The Playground of the Damned.”

No one αnswered me. I looked αt the covered body on the gurney‚ αt the αrm I hαdn’t been αble to stop stαring αt‚ αnd suddenly αll I could see wαs Celeste lying there‚ bleeding‚ αlone‚ her body being drαined becαuse of my orders‚ becαuse I didn’t even bother to αsk who she wαs. “I killed her…” I sαid‚ my voice crαcking for the first time. “I killed her.”

And this time, I wasn't going to play by the rules of the draft. I hit the ground. It was dirt. It smelled like rain and oil. I stood up and looked around. I was in a room I didn't know, holding a gun I didn't recognize. A man stepped out from the shadows. "You are early," he said. It was the Publisher. He looked young, healthy, and evil. "We haven't even started chapter one yet." I looked at him and smiled. It was the deadliest smile I had. "Then let's skip to the end," I said.

And for the first time, I wanted to give in, to mate her, to know what being inside her feels like, before it all goes to hell. We got back to the academy at noon, my bones ached in places I didn’t believe it could ache. The academy felt too small, too bright after the shadows. Students stared longingly at us as we slipped through the gates, Kiyan silent beside me, the scroll burning a hole in my bag. If only they knew how quickly they would die if I was interested in them. I collapsed in my room, every muscle screaming from the journey and the rut’s unrelenting grip.

he said quietly, “To find that Blood Petal. To uncover what this ritual truly was, the mystery behind why my mother received the kind of death she did, what the Academy is really after, and to destroy that fucking flower once and for all.” I let out a shaky breath I didn’t realize I’d been holding. My hands were cold. The truth about the Academy, the one known for its pride, for shaping the future Alphas, for serving the realm selflessly was darker than I could have ever imagined. I was not sure if it was Goddess’ grace or something else. The supreme Alpha throne was under the Alpha King’s command so the Academy was just a source to organize the trials. “Then…did you intrude into the secret
